That's a good observation, though after doing some research, it appears that Viscount were looking at the Vox Super Continental for the drawbar sounds, as seen in this video that I've just found: th-cam.com/video/e6cgjhz8DgA/w-d-xo.html Have you known a Vox Super Continental existed before? Because I've just learned of this now, and it's quite interesting how it all worked out. - Jonny
@@crazypainter56 Ok, though did you understand what I already said that Viscount (the manufacturer of the Legend Soul organs) must have been looking at the Vox Super Continental for the drawbar sounds, as seen in this video that I've found earleir: th-cam.com/video/e6cgjhz8DgA/w-d-xo.html ? - Jonny
Only two things Viscount could add to make this instrument perfect and unique: melotron emulation and string machine emulation. Just think about it. Having Hammond/VOX/Farfisa layered with melotron/string machine sounds, fully costumizable. Instant ProgRock gratification. Plus the Church organs... wow. I can definitly see Pink Floyd's Soucerful of Secrets and Astronomy Domine being perfectly recreated on it.
Well now, I hope they listen to you. I'm fine with the Soul being the way it is, but those professional giggin musicians would sure benefit from a melotron rendition. I own a Melotron rack unit and a Waldorf STVC for the 70's rock thing. Having organs, melotron and strings all in one place would sure be tempting.
Alice, have you considered sharing this idea with the international headquarters of Viscount? If you haven't, be sure to share this idea with them. Here is where you can contact them and share this idea with them: www.viscountinstruments.com/contact-us/ - Jonny
There are plenty of other boards you could sit on top of the 261 to get your non-organ sounds live - Nord Electros have good Mellotron, Solina and Piano samples and aren't crazy expensive
Awesome, 😺♥️🇨🇦💖💞❤️🐾💕 I have to binge on your videos to catch up, 😺
Wooohooo. What a machine!
Does that mean there will be more hymns soon on this? 😺♥️🇨🇦💖💞❤️🐾💕
Nope, not with this one. I am very particular with which organs I want to play on to continue my hymn playing series.
@@JonnyMusicOrganist oh no, ok, thanks, 😺♥️🇨🇦💖💞❤️🐾💕
you know there is only 6 drawbars on a Vox continental--not 9
