If I am a bachelor and I have a couple of articles published in scientific journals, but no citation is that bad for EB1A?
Thank you for your question. For a strong EB-1 case an advanced degree and at-least 3 criteria should be met. I think you will need a Masters to apply and there are 10 criteria set by USCIS on which I have made a detailed video. Please refer to that and check which criteria you can achieve. All the best!

Great video - so once you get EB1 thru self petition, what are the requirements to become a citizen? Under the EB1 green card - you have to work to become a citizen?
Once you get Green Card, in five years you can file for citizenship with USCIS. Work depends on you whether you want to continue working or start a business or just relax for sometime. With EB-1 A,B&C it is recommended to continue working for the same field for at-least sometime as that was the basis for your GC.
If I want to apply from home country is it manadotary a job offer letter?
If you are applying in EB-1 A then bonafide job offer is not a requirement however for EB-1 B job offer is required

hi Praneet...really informative videos. My I140 is approved in EB1b (PD: 22nd June 2022). Any predictions as to when the filing and action dates will move ahead for eb1?

Hi, thanks for the content you are creating. I am based in France and I just accepted to be a co-founder for a startup already based in the US. I have a PhD in artificial intelligence, 90 citations, 10 papers, and have been working as machine learning engineer for 4 years after my phd graduation at the same big company in France. From my understanding that I am eligible for O1 visa and also found that I am eligible for EB1 green card too. Is it right? Can I apply for green card from France as a co-founder? Great question. Before i can provide any information; i have two questions, 1) will you complete your 5 years on J-1 this year 2) Does two year residency apply to your case.
If you are going to complete 5 years on J-1 then I would suggest first converting to H-1 as soon as possible. Because J-1 cannot be extended after 5 years. Now for converting to H-1 make sure you do not need any waiver. Happy to connect on a call to discuss more. Let’s connect on LinkedIn.

Not necessarily. You can target other criteria. However traditionally a lot of attorneys prefer to have citations and publications to check criteria.

I think you can. My friend filed EB-1 B while he was on F-1 OPT. However I would suggest consulting an immigration attorney to be sure. Please share the channel with your friends, family and colleagues if you like the content.

Getting a PhD will not just get you EB-1 whether it is in US or India. However the accomplishments you get while doing a PhD and after it can help you fulfill the criteria. It is all about the evidence you present to USCIS for criteria and how those evidence put you in extraordinary ability category.
Even advanced degree is not needed for EB1. Tattoo artist can apply for Eb1a.

Dear Shanker, Thank you so much. Regarding EB-1 filing time depends on the evidence you have collected and you will need to and the attorney. It generally takes 6 months on an average to file I140 and if you apply in premium processing then you will receive the decision in 15 calendar days. For the final stage, I485 it takes around 1-2 months to file and then USCIS takes around 6-7 months on an average to adjudicate. Total cost filing with attorney can be somewhere around 10-12k dollars including both stages. However again it depends from law firm to law firm. Hope this helps.

Late comment but thank you for the video! How plausible is it to have a good chance at EB-1 while still being an undergrad student in the USA? I satisfy 3 of 10 criterias listed and still have time to improve my profile in uni. Would this make a good case, or will the lack of an advanced degree be a killer?
You can file EB-1 with bachelor’s but you will need to have atleast 5 years of full time experience in your field. Having an Advanced degree is a plus. All the best!
@@MeetPraneet Thank for responding! I wasn't aware of the 5 year requirement, because I have seen people getting their EB-1 while doing their Phd directly after their bachelors. Does experience required reduce with the more advanced your degree is, or is it fixed?
The 5 years exp rule is only for EB-1B
