Hey Jay! I never miss a video and love how often you post content. I'm one of the few in my group that's almost too obsessed with the hobby, and you seem like that guy for your group too!! Your energy is electric mate keep up the good work and much love from Australia 🦘
Welcome to the Quar. I've always thought of it as a great way to scratch that historcial wargaming itch without having to really do this history part. the very grounded nature of the conflict and historically-inspired uniforms and weapons of the Quar lets you do all the uniform research and still end up with something fun.
I'm always glad to see Wargames Atlantic minis! I love their stuff - great minis at a decent price. I don't necessarily always have a use for their kids, but I'll often get them just to have some fun kitbashing and painting
The Quar are grreat and its great to see more interest in them. Thanks for highlighting them. One small point, the Quar are basically anthropomorphic anteaters. Good, good stuff.
Quar is my new (old) obsession. It is such a fun world with a surprising amount of lore. I have the old metal range, the 15mm range, and now the new plastic range. They are just so much fun to paint! The game is really fun, and the community on the discord is fantastic. All of the lore books and almost all of the old rule books are free in pdf! What’s cool is Quar are kind of from a children’s game! Josh, the creator, has been making this universe since he was a kid! He just kept adding to it. Also, Jay, it’s pronounced Coff-TEER-an. 😂 but all the words are crazy
I’m a huge fan of turnip28 and love their community. Just discovered Quar from these videos and I’m immediately infatuated with these little guys! Can’t wait to get into the rules, lore, and of course get to painting these guys
Those Quar models are AMAZING!!!! You've REALLY outdone yourself with that customization job this time. You've sold me. It's so interesting and captivating, they'll be taking my money all too soon. Keep up the great work, brotha!
Wargames Atlantic make some great sci-fi, fantasy and historical miniatures. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Especially if you want some proxy Guard
Tell me you know nothing about Necromunda without telling me you know nothing about Necromunda. Secundus is a reference to Hive Secundus, the new setting location. Vanilla Necromunda is set in Hive Primus. It is a hive that was infested and taken over by a mutated variant of the genestealer cult. The hive was grav-bombed from orbit destroying it. The genestealer cult was nearly destroyed to a man and continued to grow and rebuild in the shattered remains of the hive. If you follow the lore the final book detailing battle to take over the throne of Necromunda one of the main characters fled through the ash wastes to Hive Secundus.
Those Quar mini's for t28 is absolutely inspired! The modern necromunda sculpts are fantastically weird and disturbing, watching it grow reminds me of RT/2nd Ed era where things were allowed to be gross, weird or silly for fun, rather than the sterilsed for mass market wargame sculpts the armies get.
I knew that was a Wargames Atlantic box on the thumbnail. I bought a box of Napoleonic British Riflemen (95th Rifles, the Chosen Men) and now I have so many (32) little dudes with heaps of customisation options
Love the video Jay! If you’re interested at looking at new mini games I’d recommend Trench Crusade. It’s set in WW1 however against demons. It’s ridiculously grim dark and looks so good! It’s not out yet but the Kickstarter seems to be going live later this year
I never got into Quar for some reason even though I am local to Zombiesmith that designed the minis and rules. But I am a big fan of his minis, and have collected them for a couple decades. Have his zombies, gray aliens, and other sci fi stuff in metal, most of it painted now.
Love this channel! I just had an idea while cleaning off desk - the friggin candles that come with the little wooden tops make for kickin bases - the tops, not the candle...tho u could use the candle wax to attach your mini to the top!! - that might be a bit too far but seriously - thought I'd share my single bright idea for the day
I know exactly what Jay means with finding a new game. A while back I found a new game (also a game stuffed on a bottom self at one of the game stores I go to) called Dust 1947. Its a WW2 but weird kind of like Konflict 47, but has this Wolfenstein thing going on that I absolutely fell in love with. It was one of those where them more I found, the deeper it pulled me in. Unfortunately, I discovered it late and only found out that the studio bowed out during covid. There is still a decent community behind it and they still make some new stuff for it every now and then, but most of the time if you are looking for something your going to have to pay out for it or trade for it.
13:33 I also picked up these minis to make my own Turnip 28 Fodder troop as a living tuber creature. (They look like a carrot or daikon like root vegetables.)
I like how the physiology of the quar looks like an amalgamation of styles of cartoons like 'the far side' with the large noses, stumpy limbs, and super barrel chested.
The Necromunda Nid looks like someone at GW HQ was watching John Carpenter's "The Thing" and was inspired by Rob Bottins creations in that film. I love it.
I do like how the new stormcast is a redeemed nurgle warrior, he's the second confirmed redeemed chaos person we know of the first being Neave Blacktalon
Would really like to see a follow up on your quars. Im head over heels for your shroom squad, such an amazing idea and executed so perfectly! Just recently came across quar on mish mash! channel and he mentioned you so here i am. Again please make a part two on quar, thank you and keep up the amazing work!
OMG. I was passively watching till I heard Quar! I just discovered Quar and it's the craziest thing ~ no ones ever heard of ~ My buddy and I just played our first game with the "this quars war" kit, it's a skirmish game in a box. It's super neat and goofy had a lot of fun. Coincidentally my pfp is some Quar I painted for that first game.
With X-wing and Armada getting the Axe I think you are correct that Licensed Games probably aren't the future. I think thats why 40k has done so well as it is its own world and story and is unique. Stuff like Quar and Turnip have that unique vibe that people can explore and is fresh.
Just got a bunch of .stls from Josh Qualtieri (Designer of This Quar's War.) on myminfactory. Making a small force for my wife to play OPR firefight. She loves the cuteness and look of the models and they have been great to work with.
If you want another game that kind of goes it's own way with gameplay is Ronin from Osprey. There is a slightly more genericized game that came out that kind of uses the same rules, but becomes far less cinematic by that point since it goes away from a samurai setting skirmish to general swashbuckling
I love the new stormcast models, but I will never collect an army of them, I just don’t like them because they’re just… too normal, too "good guys-y". I’ll probably use them for conversions and kitbash though !!!
I like how Jay is making huge effots to like stormcast, because they are the space marines for a modern audience, but deep down he knows his true love are the black templars.
Hey Jay, I found a wargame recently thet you might be interested in, its a grimdark, horror wargame set in the 1910's, around the time of ww2. It is called Trench Crusade. It is heavy into religion with you fighting demons or religious zealots. I think it looks awesome, and I think it would fit right down with your types of games. It is coming out around later this year
Nah, this ain't competing with GW. However you should look into Trench Crusade. It scratches that Grimdark itch and the art and models are absolutely insane. It's violent, dark, and filled with deep lore you can really dive into. I think it could be big
Mmm, stormcast, Imperial/Necron/Eldar add-on to the Custodus??? Even if not, I do think it might give you some modding ability here, like say digigrade power bocking pony ballet boots Maybe some Mechanicum Skitari(?) leg parts, there? The other option is Sisters Of Battle Angelic road. Heh, what if you combine the three? Or use a hover unit, for inspiring the faith, with fake flying persons, hence the long robes, with them straight, whole & clean.....
If I could remember where I heard it, I’d give them credit for it, but they called the GSC stuff Necromunda has been previewing lately as Hive Fleet Crack Den.
Im hoping Conquest rivals 40k or at least AOS, im loving the stuff i have so far with plans to paint more in the near future 🥺 old dominion all the way!
I watch every one of your painting tutorials despite rarely being into the subject you are painting (not a big space marine/40k enjoyer) because I think the videos are great. If you start pumping out some turnip28 content its really going to be awesome.
Head to squarespace.com/eonsofbattle to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code eonsofbattle
The Quar are anteaters, not worms, but Wombles seem good too
They got that worm in them.
They are reptiles though right? From what I remember reading on the developers site
Please do a follow up episode on quar! I need to see more!
I know right no one really talks about it and him doing one would be awesome
His 2 Quar miniatures looked so good they inspired me to buy a box
still no update D: i need more
PLEASE do more Quar. I have been following these guys for like two years, and I would love some Quar content on TH-cam (for the ancestors of course)
I've been seeing stuff about Quar since highschool, amazing seeing it get a plastic release
Hey Jay! I never miss a video and love how often you post content. I'm one of the few in my group that's almost too obsessed with the hobby, and you seem like that guy for your group too!! Your energy is electric mate keep up the good work and much love from Australia 🦘
Ere ere! From Australia to!
meee tooooo!
Gap Games customer gang-
Also from Aus and love Jay!
Jay is by far my favourite all time TH-camr and deserves a place among legends
And some luck in games😂
I love that GW are consistantly letting the Necromunda team grab the 0-10 weird shit dial and crank that baby up to 17.

Those are genuinly some of the coolest painted turnip28 minis I've seen
They are super cool
The Quar’s heads reminds me of Spy vs Spy.
The Quar Models remind me of the old Mad comic Series Spy vs Spy (I think that was its name.) I got 100cc of Nostalgia from that
The Quar are grreat and its great to see more interest in them. Thanks for highlighting them. One small point, the Quar are basically anthropomorphic anteaters. Good, good stuff.

I got my Wargames Atlantic Einjariar in the mail today. They will be perfect for Space Weirdos.
The Quar look like Wombles.
And I'm here for it.
Seccundus?! Whats next, Ligma Units & Mind Goblins from the Bofa Sector?
Who's Steve Jobs?
@@jakegoodrich6520 Ligma Balls
@@jakegoodrich6520LIGMA BALLZ
Yes, then after a while a small groups will break off and form Sugma and De-Endama

I love that a lot of my favourite TH-camrs (Getting Tabled, YOGSCAST Tom & Ben) who do tabletop gaming have gotten into Quar in some way.
I was just thinking of Tom & Ben and then Quar showed up
Those Quar mini's for t28 is absolutely inspired!

QUAR! I bought a box almost as soon as I saw them. They're going into my guard style army.
man i found out about Quar's a few days ago and i reallyyyyyyyy wanted to hear/see somebody talk about it. You're the Warhammer TH-cam goat!
Thanks!
I knew that was a Wargames Atlantic box on the thumbnail. I bought a box of Napoleonic British Riflemen (95th Rifles, the Chosen Men) and now I have so many (32) little dudes with heaps of customisation options
Wargames Atlantic makes really good models. If you want an interesting project for alternative WH40k check out more of their range
Love the video Jay! If you’re interested at looking at new mini games I’d recommend Trench Crusade. It’s set in WW1 however against demons. It’s ridiculously grim dark and looks so good! It’s not out yet but the Kickstarter seems to be going live later this year
Next big thing I've seen alot of lately is probably Trench Crusade
Yeah the art style is very reminiscent of 1970s satirical cartoons, so I would assume it's been around for a while.
this first model is like some john carpenter type of horror
Hey Jay, I'd be tempted to play the Necromunda mutant in my Death Guard army..
think the mutated tyrinid guy at the beginning of the video would make a cool deamonhost for an ordo xenos inquisitor
Those Quar models remind me of an old PS2 game called Spy vs Spy. I would love to paint some of those up!
Ngl cool that people are picking this up. Mish Mash kind of brought it to light and I'm happy it's spreading
Love your enthusiasm, Jay!
You should check out Trench Crusade
Please do a Quar video it’s so cool PLEASE
I’d love to see you paint that new stormcast mini, your critique of it was great and I’d love to see your take on it!
I never got into Quar for some reason even though I am local to Zombiesmith that designed the minis and rules. But I am a big fan of his minis, and have collected them for a couple decades. Have his zombies, gray aliens, and other sci fi stuff in metal, most of it painted now.
I've just started a Turnip 28 Army and a bloomin love it. 🥕🥕🥕 Carrot Nation Unite 🥕🥕🥕

I'm on the myminiaturesfactory tribes for quar, and boy howdy, in a month we already have so much. Tanks! Quar!
Yes please do more updates on Quar! Ever since seeing this video, I have been very intrigued by the game 👍🏼
I really like the Quar models. I'd love to see a video of you painting some of them
13:33 I also picked up these minis to make my own Turnip 28 Fodder troop as a living tuber creature. (They look like a carrot or daikon like root vegetables.)
Great to see you,'ve got some Quar
I like how the physiology of the quar looks like an amalgamation of styles of cartoons like 'the far side' with the large noses, stumpy limbs, and super barrel chested.
The Necromunda Nid looks like someone at GW HQ was watching John Carpenter's "The Thing" and was inspired by Rob Bottins creations in that film. I love it.
I would love to see a Quar follow up video or more with them. I've started looking into them because of this video and they look amazing.
I have never played Necromunda and I don't know if I ever will, but I need that coalescence guy. Such a dope model and I want to paint it.
I can’t wait to see you paint Quar
17:34 not just any tank, hes a tönk! I gotta buy a whole ass watgame to get that little fella!
Please do more on The Quar's War! That game looks rad!
It is break time at work, Jay has uploaded, today is a good day
I do like how the new stormcast is a redeemed nurgle warrior, he's the second confirmed redeemed chaos person we know of the first being Neave Blacktalon
Would really like to see a follow up on your quars. Im head over heels for your shroom squad, such an amazing idea and executed so perfectly!
Just recently came across quar on mish mash! channel and he mentioned you so here i am.
Again please make a part two on quar, thank you and keep up the amazing work!
I would love to get some of those quar models, they look like spy vs spy!
You should do a video looking through the starforged catalog and rating the items by price what you would personally buy
OMG. I was passively watching till I heard Quar! I just discovered Quar and it's the craziest thing ~ no ones ever heard of ~
My buddy and I just played our first game with the "this quars war" kit, it's a skirmish game in a box.
It's super neat and goofy had a lot of fun.
Coincidentally my pfp is some Quar I painted for that first game.
The Quar reminds me of the spies in Spy vs Spy in MAD magazine.
i remeber buying Quar models from the creator himself, he was casting them in his backyard basically iirc, great to see him get some real steam going
Oh neat, you’re like the third person this week I’ve seen talking about Quar, I might want to check it out
Necromunda is the AoS of 40k, AoS being the main game (or more serious setting) adjacent setting where the sculptors can go bonkers
With X-wing and Armada getting the Axe I think you are correct that Licensed Games probably aren't the future. I think thats why 40k has done so well as it is its own world and story and is unique. Stuff like Quar and Turnip have that unique vibe that people can explore and is fresh.
I'd like to throw in that I'm still miffed they went with Vermindoom instead of Ratnarök
Secondus these nuts got me, well played Jay... Well played.
Just got a bunch of .stls from Josh Qualtieri (Designer of This Quar's War.) on myminfactory. Making a small force for my wife to play OPR firefight. She loves the cuteness and look of the models and they have been great to work with.

Hey Jay, would you ever consider a studio tour?
Oh Man! I Love those little guys.
Skip to 13:40 for actual thumbnail content
Do more Quar videos Jay! Please!
I plan to buy the starter set.
I like how Jay is making huge effots to like stormcast, because they are the space marines for a modern audience, but deep down he knows his true love are the black templars.
I love how all of a sudden, so many different TH-camrs brought up quar XD
I’m surprised the cancellation of x-wing didn’t make the news
I still miss the intro music that you had in the Model and Memory 30's .... love the Orcshade intro ... but the old up-beat tune? That I miss
"they're funny little fellas" so true.
Turnip28 has the wackiness that Warhammer used to have originally. Refreshing.
How did you do the skull mask?
Hey Jay, I found a wargame recently thet you might be interested in, its a grimdark, horror wargame set in the 1910's, around the time of ww2. It is called Trench Crusade. I'm a simple man. I see a new video go up, I immediately watch and upvote.
Jay, for the Stormcast guy, I don’t think he actually HAS legs? I don’t see any at least.
I saw Quar at LVO in 2015 or 2016. A buddy and I even filmed a demo of the game. Excited to see more people exposed to Zombiesmith.
Nah, this ain't competing with GW. However you should look into Trench Crusade. It scratches that Grimdark itch and the art and models are absolutely insane. It's violent, dark, and filled with deep lore you can really dive into. I think it could be big
Hey Jay, any update on your Quar army? Any affiliate links for us looking to get into it?
Wait wait, Wait! Did I hear the magic words?!
Turnip 28 is the best!
Hi me again just saying hi and I love your videos😊
Mmm, stormcast, Imperial/Necron/Eldar add-on to the Custodus???

Maybe some Mechanicum Skitari(?) leg parts, there?

Heh, what if you combine the three?
Or use a hover unit, for inspiring the faith, with fake flying persons, hence the long robes, with them straight, whole & clean.....
Turnip28 is just a historical Napoleonic game layered with weird fantasy. Also, your Quar freaking rock!
Quar HAS been something different for a looong time!
There is a PS4 Quar game called Quar Infernal Machines and Qar Battle for gate 18 on Steam
Necromunda gets the coolest minis.
BLKOUT is the newest wargame that i have really fell in love with, gives me a real titanfall feel, i would love to see what you think of the game
2:08 Looks like infantry got sucked up into the nose of a tyranid. Then sneezed out during battle.
Ok…where do I find out more about Quar because I love those designs lol
I watch every one of your painting tutorials despite rarely being into the subject you are painting (not a big space marine/40k enjoyer) because I think the videos are great. If you start pumping out some turnip28 content its really going to be awesome.
I saw the Skaven model when revealed but just seeing it here. I see so many "faces" on its upper back 🤣🤣
