Lets be completely honest. A lot of the Dreamcast/Adventure Era (Adventure to Unleashed) had a lot of "trying too hard youth pastor" vibes which is why we loved it.

Before they colored it in, I would say Nathan's drawing was almost a perfect recreation of Jet the Hawk.

I need to say that the sheer amount of sonic content on this channel is what keeps me around. When I saw the drawfee team at the art festival I said “thank you for all the horrible things you’ve done to sonic” and they said “you’re welcome, we will do more”
As someone whose Sonic knowledge comes entirely from Snapcube/Real Time Fandub, I think it's a testament to the RTF portrayals that I guessed Espio correctly?? also obviously Black Doom is the obsessive parasocial relationship fan in RTF lore

When Jacob said that Nathan's character wasn't a main one, my brain went to the extensive Sonic comic character roster. I assumed a badass who turns out to be a religious know-it-all with ignorable advice was going to be one of Tekal's extensive family. When it turned out to be Espio, I was dumbfounded. How is he not a main character? How deep into the Sonic lore have I fell? I am having a crisis now.
I'm SO GLAD someone else went deep into the comic lore. My brain went immediately to Ash Mongoose. He just looks like he'd be into hardcore christian rock.
sonic, tails, amy, knuckles, shadow are ones i consider a main character as someone who is only occasionally invested in the games, everyone else is a side character, i might be not remembering one or two others tho
the funny thing about it almost being Vector is that in his original description from knuckles chaotix it specifically says that vector believes in God and came to the island because he heard it makes miracles. pretty much all the chaotix were drastically redesigned for heroes so its unclear if hes still religious. also i was for a moment SO SURE that the second one was Thunderbolt the Chinchilla until Jacob said they were a game character. the only thunderbolt stan in the world loses once again. shes my girl related obsession

I'd say my most recent one is nailing a rotating set of motivational animal illustrations to my wall because it used to be a calendar but I decided I didn't like seeing the march of days laid out before me in black and white, so I cut the whole thing in half and flipped everything to be images only :)

Suggestion: in many animal species, the males put on colorful show to draw in the female. Many birds, like the superb bird of paradise, carolina parotia, costa’s hummingbird (aka squidface), or the greater sage-grouse, flash their plumage but also mudskippers, smooth newts, and peacock spiders put on a beautiful (and hilarious) display to attract mates. I’d love to see the Drawfee crew take these creatures looking for love and turn them into humans.
