    I’m upset with TH-cam’s algorithm. How did I JUST find you after all these years?!?! You’re so thorough! Your flavor pairings are so fun! I love your videos and plan on doing a marathon soon!!! 😻🥮🥰

    Your production value is fantastic, I love the care and aesthetic planning put into every frame. All of your recipes I've tried have been delicious (the Mother's Day ones from last year particularly), can't wait to try this one!

    Hello Jasma!! I have not watched your vlog in a while. I have followed you since you were a cute little girl who teached so many of us how to make such delicious desserts especially my favorite snow mooncakes I have tasted when I was living in Bangkok, Thailand.

    thanks for sharing all the different kind of snow skin mooncakes recipe. In the past, I have always purchased the snow skin mooncakes from the store. But for the past few years, the prices of these mooncakes have gone up ridiculously high. I have finally decided to make my own this year. All your videos are so detailed, it's so easy to follow. I am proud to say my snow skin mooncakes was a success. But of course, not as pretty as yours :p. Will definitely be using the same recipe again and try out different flavour one next year.

    Is there any way to substitute the nuts for a chocolate filling

  • @CyberianWaste
    @CyberianWaste 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey Jasma, excellent video as always! I noticed you used corn starch in this snow skin recipe, can this be done with any of the snow skin recipes? I have a family member who is allergic to gluten, but we'd love to make some mooncakes this year.

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure can! I saw that a lot of people needed to substitute wheat starch so I've been testing all my snow skin mooncakes with cornstarch and it works just fine:)

  • @familyc3026
    @familyc3026 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those mooncakes look absolutely beautiful and elegant. What other nuts go well with sesame paste filling? Will you have tutorial on making the traditional mooncakes in the next few days? Thanks for sharing.

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! You can probably use just about anything. For instance: peanuts, walnuts, pecans. And yes, I'm working on a traditional recipe that will hopefully be up in the next week!

  • @dostevenk

    So excited to try this recipe! Do you have any personal experience or knowledge using dairy substitutes like sweetened condensed coconut milk with your mooncake recipes? I have many lactose intolerant friends 😅

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never tried them out but I think they should work just fine and perhaps only slightly alter the flavour. Let me know how it goes!

    Can switching the type of starch for the skin (potato starch instead of corn) can influence the consistency of the skin?

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it might change the texture of the skin but it most likely won't be a major difference

    instead of blending sesame seeds can we just use sesame paste? 芝麻酱

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ooh that's an interesting suggestion...I don't think sesame paste is pure sesame so with the added ingredients it may not come together as the recipe would require it to

    • @JasmaFusionCuisine
      @JasmaFusionCuisine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can divide the recipe in half! The technique is all the same you might just have to decrease the time you steam the snow skin since a small batch would cook faster

    Just discovered your channel, can't wait to try these recipes! I'm trying to find my ideal mooncake recipe, so far I've tried traditional, snowy skin custard and pineapple mooncakes. I've heard people have mixed feelings about nut fillings. Do you have an overall particular favourite mooncake recipe?
