      But he is not a villian. A villian is handsome in an offbeat way. Even the joker has his own charm. The issue with Kyle is he looks like a douche and acts like a child. Jr should understand the difference between Kyle and Sr. Sr was a villian, He was rough cut handsome and well spoken. Kyle looks like some kid in college that got his ass kicked monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. He skipped Wednesday because he did not come out of his moms basement. I like how when someone speaks their mind in nascar, there just called out for "crying" about it
    I can say for certain Busch is the most notorious for it. But I've seen everyone from Brad keselowski to Jeff Gordon be called a crybaby just because the cars in general sucked, or that had a bad weekend.
    This is one of the top issues in nascar and a big reason why people (like me) are leaving the sport.

    I started watching Nascar in 97 and I was always interested in what Waltrip, Spencer, Harvick, Stewart, and the other "personality" drivers were doing/saying. Now there's very little of that left because sponsorship is so hard to come by anymore. Kyle can get away with it because he can win in the 18 car, or the 24, or the 15, or the 37, or anything else you give him. There are very few drivers today that are a threat no matter what equipment you give them to compete with.

When he isn't toning it down for the camera he is hilarious. I still go back to his radio and post race highlights. Epic. Kurt and Kyle will go down as the funniest and most memorable racers for a while to come. Tony Stewart is a funny sob too

Kevin Harvick was supper cool.

      "Watch a good race"??? I think you & many others are a little too late for that. There was a time when EVERY race counted determining the season championship, and for every driver & how they wound up with points. THAT was absolute suspense TO......THE.......END. And it happened quite a few times. Today we have "the chase" & "play-offs".....I mean, hell, they might as well send the rest of the field outside the top 10 home for the rest of the season, what's the point?........and then there's the absurd "periods"........I thought only women had "periods".......not a stock car race. I won't even go into all the other garbage that drastically changed our once beloved & glorious spectator sport. The closest many of us get today, is watching & enjoying things like Dale's podcast here, especially when he has retired drivers who raced when it was REAL...... SIGH..........And people wonder why track attendance & TV ratings fell through the floor.

    • @vhedrin
      @vhedrin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the drivers responsibility to pick sponsors who will allow them to be them. Usually, those are small time sponsors. For example kyle Busch does M and M's. So, if number 18 was Black driver he could do a tribute to Trayon Martin or speak about police brutality or how the boy died with skittles in his hands. The sponsor would back him up. The driver is being himself. He can sound just like kyle busch "rowdy" but the white crowd wouldn't like him just like a minority of people didn't like Ali, the heavyweight boxer. But, within this coming year or so even Kyle has turned down his volume. With a lot more diversity, it 's not about PC it is about fans starting fights in the grandstands and such. As far as kids, yes they mimic what they hear. They don't even know what they're saying just ask them. It is not the sponsors fault. They must appeal to a wide array of customers. Drivers must be selective about their sponsors. But, when you need a check to $$$, you do what you got to do. I am sure you do the same.
