      I was in business with them and I know for sure the products are made in multiple factories across China. Maybe this is the reason for the hit or miss, among other factors.
      Medichem is the UK manufacturer for some of their liquid products.
      I don’t believe in what they advertise because 90% of their products are made in China.
      They don’t have 100% control over product manufacturing and testing.

      Fizzahxo x, they offer budget products, as a distributor I got them at 60-65% off retail. The production cost must be ridiculous cheap for them to make a profit. This makes me wonder about the quality and long term effects.
      It’s true Adam worked in the past for big cosmetics and has access to their OEM factories, but I don’t believe they have the same quality.

    On the other hand, Revolution Beauty plays a role to shake these high end brands in a sense that the exact products can be created and sold for much cheaper. People who prefer authenticity will pay the premium, and people who don't want to don't need to! Once big brands lose enough customers for this, they will need to do something to offer more competitive prices. At the end of the day, it's all benefitial for consumers.
    Personally I don't buy many products from Revolution Beauty, but I appreciate the competition they bring to the market.

    • @melonmelon7427
      @melonmelon7427 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Agreed! Then the big brands will scam less because that's what it is with some of the products, 💯 scamming .... since the exact same products can be created at a friction of the price

    • @Gicaisand
      @Gicaisand 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You don’t talk about R&D. This is much more easier to offer a cheaper product when you don’t have to pay for a whole research department. Finding great formulas as a cost. Copying is just a fraction of that cost. This is pretty unfair that this brand is allowed to copy so obviously all of its competitors.

    • @jay-ts8ux
      @jay-ts8ux 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Emilia I definitely agree for the skincare section, but makeup? Honestly how different is a benefit foundation to a tarte one? And no one accuses them of copying!

    • @jonathanm.9801
      @jonathanm.9801 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kong Kwan I also appreciate the competition it brings, but in terms of the skincare line, I feel like they are either copying the Ordinary too much (AHA+BHA Peeling Mask, Niacinimide 10%+Zinc 1%), gimmicky products (Strawberry Donut Face Mask, Holographic/Pink Glitter/Gold Glitter Face Mask), or they are just basic products (Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Cream, Cucumber Eye Gel). Considering their brand and their labeling of “Revolution,” it honestly seems more like they are trying to fit in to the market rather than revolutionize the market. Theres already The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Cerave, CosRX, and other brands that have about the same stuff for the same price. Their name seems cool and all, but it just seems contradictory to what they sell (in terms of the skincare).

    • @gerritkoelsch4861
      @gerritkoelsch4861 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonathanm.9801 I think what the brand prides itself with that is revolutionary is the Prize, more on the Makeup Side than the Skincare Side though. their Products cost only a friction of the high end ones while having similar results in terms of Makeup, like the Conceal and Define Concealer having similar results as Tartes Shapetape while costing way less, even when comparing amounts: Shape Tape costs 27€ for 10ml, Conceal and Define Concealer costs 5€ at 4g, so even if you buy 3 Revolution ones,you still save 12 Bucks, if you go for a SuperSize one (also 5€, but 13g) you save way more. for Skincare, its just harder because the Ordinary allready makes so low prizes, its having a hard time going below that.

    I don’t understand how some people can try and drag this brand and say its shady. But yet they are way more inclusive and its not just for certain groups of people. It is also great quality for being so cheap. And as for being ‘dupes’ I would prefer to pay less for almost identical products, what people don’t realise is that price doesn’t mean better quality it just means prettier packaging and for me it’s going in a drawer and no ones really going to see it.

    This brand (revolution skincare) came out when the ordinary wasn't the most accessible in the UK. It could be found in some department stores and they could be bought online but you couldn't go into a drugstore and buy them. Revolution skincare brought these products into the British drugstore when there wasn't much like it. Now Both the ordinary and the inkey list are sold at boots and Superdrug has its own line of serums. Also, it is the law for British companies to have a section on modern slavery on their website so that is pretty normal (and something all companies should do regardless).

Indie brands already have a small consumer base, so ripping off these brands can really negatively impact their long-term survival.

    I live in a small town in Canada, so having certain beauty products delivered from where ever becomes really expensive... for me revolution is just really accessible/affordable...

    What people might not realise including yourself is that sometimes Revolution’s strategy was making some products in markets that the similar originals were not necessarily selling to especially in Europe, getting them in a retail shop for example when others weren’t available. Probably thanks to Revolution we finally saw Inkey and Ordinary being available in one of our major retail stores.

    The ordinary is and has always been my first choice.. However.. But with not been able to always get the ordinary recently.. I do end up buying revolution.. For the sake of price.. Ive not really had much luck with the inkey list..

    I understand why people have a dislike for makeup revolution or revolution beauty but as a person who can't spend a lot of money on makeup (and quite frankly wouldn't want to) I'd like to have access to something similar to the big brands without having buyers remorse, it gives us an opportunity to enjoy trends that might be out of our pocket range.

    I don’t think they’re great, however, The Ordinary is limited and out of stock quite often, and if you’re skin isn’t super-sensitive, the Revolution offers a back-up option that is pretty good at a similar price point. They are NOT the same as the ordinary but I’m glad they exist because they’re pretty good in a pinch.

    Man she’s just a good person. Been watching her for yearssss and I’m here to watch all your beauty videos but at the end of the day I feel good because I feel like I got transferred a genuine good energy rather than the infos that I was looking for in the first place 😂

    Thank you so much for your info. That's very kind of you.
    As you said, it's so good to have alternatives for consumers like us. I love them all, when the price is right!!
    For me, I kinda love Revolution's Niacinamide+Zinc more than the Ordinary's, as it doesn't pill at all.
    After using 3 bottles of the Ordinary's I found that it always pilled every way I used.

    Do you know the brand "facetheory"? I would love to hear your opinion on them I think the have really nice products 😁 for example 15% azelaic acid serum or 2% salicylic acid serum. All of there products are fragrance free (some do have essential oils but they almost always got the same product with an essential oil free option)
