Since you've talked to the sephora workers you could tell them to clean the testers at the end of the day when they r closing
What about glow recipe? I’m 12 and started using glow recipe a few weeks ago and I want to know if it’s bad for me. I haven’t been breaking out so it seems good. And what about drunk element? I haven’t tried it but I want to.
im happy that we are having this conversation about if kids should use skincare (which i believe, like cassandra, skincare is for everyone) and also what skincare they should use. as someone who had acne and eczema, by age 11 i was using extremely aggressive actives that basically destroyed my skin barrier (again i had acne and eczema at the same time 😭) and seeing kids wanting and begging not only expensive and potent stuff scares me a bit 😭 but thank god we have people like cassandra
Those kids don't watch Cass videos... 😂
I was always told when I was a kid that i dont need skincare but I belive everyone needs in theyrs routine are gentle cleanser, basic moistruizer and sunscreen ofc
I wish they did@@WaffleRedondo
@@WaffleRedondo I’m 9 and watch her

As a parent of 2 girls, I am so glad you made this video. I want them to make skincare a habit the right way. I was just trying to explain to my 12 year old that she does not need all those active ingredients. Thank you for the product suggestions!
As for the testers being destroyed, blame the parents.
Youth therapist working in community based mental health, we have received donations of products from oxy (the aha pads) to have in our offices for youth to take who needed hygiene products. So happy to hear more about the skin and how acne can impact mental health.
Could you also get some Proactiv products for these kids to help prevent Acne and/or oily skin from starting? What about Acnease, etc? I would have had a much easier adolescence with clear, baby-fine skin (like the other kids all had)!
@@Jasmine215100 the company made the donation. Proctor and gamble also gave us some menstrual supplies
@Jasmine215100 why I can
They need to hire security guys. We have security guys in Sephora France and believe me nobody is messing annything
i’ve been to two sephoras in france. those employees didn’t seem like they would let any shit slide by anyway 😂 but glad that they have security to help maintain the peace and order in stores.
Nowadays whenever I go to Sephora all the employees are gathered in the drunk elephant section 😅
Ik when I went to France I went to Sephora and it was completely clean no “skincare smoothies”
Ikrr the Sephora in furnace are soo clean and me whenever I got to the drunk elephant I’m to scared to get stares
The Sephoras in the US (my state) don’t care! they just clean it up after the kids make them. it’s very disturbing and disrespectful!
I think they should just pull all samples from the shelves and hire a “product advisor “ that walks around the store, can offer samples directly, and suggest products for customers. It saves on product, gives the store a chance to upsell, and is good for customer retention
That's smart but people just wanna shop and when they wanna test something they don't want a 20 min advertisement
As a “kid” that likes sephora and ulta, i always be extra quiet and respectful to the employees and don’t even use testers. I still get looks.
I know, a lot of people assume we are Sephora kids and stuff.
Same but I never been to Sephora
Same they judge me when i walk in
Me too I like Sephora and Ulta and I don’t use the testers because I don’t know where those have been and this is me a kid and I’m quiet if someone’s in the aisle I go around them if they’re looking at something or I just go on a different aisle

This video made me cry 😭 thank you ❤ I’ve always struggled with acne since I was 7 years old and I have burns from literally burning myself with the adult retinols they gave me to use and the cleansers dried out my face and I wish I never went to the adult dermatologist and just went to my pediatrician. 😌 I’m gonna go pick up some Bubble
I think Drunk Elephant has a responsibility as well and they should finally get rid of this whole smoothie-bullshit. It can be hazardous for your skin, but surely they insist on mixing retinol, acids and other actives together and call it "biodegradable" and then blaming the customer for getting irritated skin 🤐(quoting DE's instagram: "It's a YOU problem, not a DE problem" lmao)
I’ve actually been turned off by Drunk Elephant over this whole thing and won’t buy their products anymore.
@@chelseaj2356 Same, I did try a few products, and most of them were pretty decent but I'm not going to spend 80 bucks on an exfoliator that The Ordinary sells for 10 bucks
@@chelseaj2356 There are few DE products I found decent but I won't pay 80 bucks for an exfoliator that the Ordinary sells for 10 bucks

in youtube nowadays, there are videos of kids putting on damaging "skincare", inappropriate, time wasting shorts, etc...but it's great to see someone who puts actual effort in useful and educational videos, whilst making it interesting and funny
In my opinion kids should use go to a dermatologist and use what they suggest. These kids I see in these videos has NO manners...it is the PARENTS fault, they need to know what their children are doing and they need to fucking teach their children MANNERS. My children will never do it, they have their age appropiate skincare and we focus on the importance of sunscreen!!! Children should not act like this! Retinols, Vit C etc is not for a 10year old in my opinion. We use cruelty-free products in our household. LOVE you Cassandra, hope you are doing well! In your previous video about The Ordinary you mentions "tears making your skin dry" hope you are not crying 😢, lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm 12 and when you brought up bubble+mental health I started laughing so hard because I keep my bubble just to push down on it over and over again since I LOVE the noise it makes😂
Yass sssllayyyyy
Sssslaayyyyyyy
Do you mean ur wasting the product or it’s empty cuz if it’s empty that’s ok but if it not that’s not good.
Yeah it's empty
You can buy empty bottles of it i got one bc ik these things are bad for young skin
This really scares me. These kids are going to permanently damage their skin. They haven’t even gone through puberty yet. It takes forever to minimize and repair the damage.
I have struggled with acne and acne scars. The dermatology visits, the drying medications, the expensive chemical peels. These are kids that just want something pretty to play with but are going to end up burning their skin off.
I got so sad at Sephora and me and my friend asked a employee if she was ok she was crying even though we are ten we still felt bad for her we asked what wrong and an eight yr old and her mom screamed at her for not letting the kid buy drunk elephant THIS IS SO BAD! Meanwhile me and my friends respect the employees and don’t use testers and leave them we use every last drop bc we know the employees will be cleaning it up later
I went to the Sephora in my local mall on a Monday afternoon with my service dog-the children outnumbered the adults. It was so stressful. There was so much yelling and running around, some random child ran up behind me while I was talking to an employee and grabbed my service dog around the neck-his adult was nowhere in sight, he ran away just as quickly as he appeared. Thankfully my dog is well trained, so there were no consequences for such a potentially dangerous situation, but I was absolutely enraged. I left shortly after without making a purchase.
feel so bad for your poor service dog :( they’re working animals and need to be respected. it’s unfortunate what’s going on in the world. i suppose you should rather shop sephora online
As u should! What a disrespectful child! If I wanted to even to COMPLIMENT a dog I would talk to the owner, let alone to touch them! Poor guy :(
Oh let me insure you that kids are obsessed with skincare because they may want a boy to have feelings for them so they try to get glow ups with skincare makeup and others.👀they also sometimes want to just have skincare but kids don’t understand that there destroying the skincare they are young and it’s not their fault maybe there parents could use there common-sense and say no to there children asking them!!!👀👀👀👀
One of my teachers has a service dog and I can relate with the younger grades😬🤧
maybe the service dog shoulda turned into mr sweet cheeks at that momment and then
im a teen who is now slowly getting into skincare and light makeup, and i just wanted to thank you for this video!
i've been trying to find products that are good for my skin for about 2 months now, and i'll definitely try some of these out. the only problem is that i live in a country without a lot of sephora's and absolutely no ulta's, so i'll have to order them online but oh well.
Sephora should put all the products and testers on higher shelves so only those taller than 170 cm can use them. If you can't reach them, call an employee to help you. And I'm saying this as a 157 cm tall woman. At least then an employee can refuse to help a child mess up the products.
I used to have bad acne as a teen, but I treated it at the dermatologist office, not at a makeup store. And I only started retinoids and acids at age 27-28. Kids shouldn't be allowed to do it, they don't know how to use the products.
That’s actually so smart😂
This is the most enlightening and real thing I've seen today
This video needs to be broadcast on the news so that parents can gain knowledge and save their money.
At 100% agree with you that skin care for kids should be simple. A moisturizer, cleanser, and sunscreen,. Anything else for acne is completely different. And the crazy thing is that all these kids are using foundation and makeup on top of their skin care. All these kids look way older because they start using these products way too soon.
You don't have beef. You have beet!🤣🤣🤣... I'll just see myself out now
😊
help 😭
bahahaahahahahahahaha
Yea I’m a kid and my mom doesn’t let me get vitamin c and stuff but I just need to know which products I can still get.
Skincare is always a hard topic to talk about because of the different options but I appreciate you talking about from the skincare brands being the enemy instead of aiming for the children and thanks for the advice ❤❤❤
OMD I WAS DYING EVRY TIME SHE SAID “THE DRUNK ELEPHANT THEY ARE DRUNK WHY ARE ELEPHANTS DRUNK WHAT ARE THE ABOUT DRNK ELEPHANTS”? HAHAH SHE KILLED ME 😂
It’s a brand bro😂
@@EmmaHopkinson-km9pd Ik I just found it funny
Once i went to ulta to get lipbalm and some 6 YEAR OLD was SCREAMING AT THERE MOM FOR RNTNAL AND THERE MOM GAVE IT TO THE 6 YEAR OLD

...or perhaps they could get a counselor that was better than handing out this shite! GRRRRR! (Abuse of a victim, abuse of power. Fire that a-hole!)

Thanks for the video, Cassandra! I agree that children need appropriate skincare. Thanks for suggesting dupes!
I literally was at Ulta today and a mom had to tell her 7 year old she did not need foundation 🙂 not skincare related but still….what is this new generation
They are what they see on tik tok unfortunately
Fr ppl just became emo and was js not acting themselves like
Honestly, kudos to that mom. Not many parents tell their kids no now.
At least the mom told her right ??🤷🏼♀️
Bro my cheer requires makeup like a 7 year old Ik dose cheer so some kids need it for certain accessions
As a ten year old I love skincare but I’m scared of destroying my skin in the future so I stay away form harmful products and ingredients like retional and vitamin c and I totally agree Bubble skincare is amazing just get it❤!
The destroyed shelves at Sephora don’t exist in Canada from what I’ve seen in two stores so far. It is popular among the kids though.
your the best and I love how your not afraid to share your acne journey and what you did to fix it bc I have acne and ur channel rly helps me
Omg yeah I just got the bubble moisturizer toner and something else but I’m glad it’s not drunk elephant
I am a mid-aged teen, the normal age to be wearing makeup, and I get looks from every worker just for being a teen. I am extremely careful with everything, am kind to workers, responsible with testers (I rarely even use them) and yet other kids are causing us to have judgement. I don’t even wear muck makeup, just a little blush, lip gloss, and bronzer drops, plus I am a dancer. My only skincare is face wash, moisturizer, and spf. I am really hoping this can stop.
Thank you so much! I'm ten and my older sister was wanting skincare about a year ago. She nor my mom had really known much about whats safe and whats not. Luckily, they found out that drunk elephant is not the best choice because of price and some ingredients. My sister had also seen a viral bubble tiktok and decided to order this. But I didnt know if it or any other brand was safe for me. Then this video popped up on my fyp. I saw bubble on the thumbnail so I watched it. I am so grateful for people like you, Cassandra! Now I know just what is safe for me. Thank you!❤❤❤
Thank you so much I’m a 13 year old girl and I’m starting to get acne and it’s hard. I’m making sure I don’t really use my drunk elephant that my friends give me. Your awesome
I am so glad you have addressed this. My 12 year old daughter has recently started to get small spots. I got her a set from The Ordinary for Christmas because I have used their products for many years and absolutely love them. She also loves the set I got and it has worked well for her skin. Then a few weeks ago she came to me asking about Drunk Elephant. She had obviously seen the tiktok videos but I am happy she came to me asking about it so I could educate her. In fact, I told her about your channel and told her to watch you. I showed her the cost of Drunk Elephant and showed her the same product at The Ordinary and she was shocked. It turned out she just really loved the packaging of Drunk Elephant products...and don't get me wrong, so do I but I'm past paying for nice bottles!! Also her teacher told her class that kids her age should NOT be using skincare and that it was for over 40s only. I was so angry by that.
I wish my mom saw this.. Im 15 and I can only use face wash, sunscreen and I JS convinced them to let me use moisturizer
See, the thing is, like you said kids DO need skincare. They all need a nice cleanser, moisturizer, and spf. But they also shouldn’t be using 5 retinol products or whatever, like some kids do. Blame the parents for being that absent, unless they truly don’t know.
I’m still a kid and I’m not allowed to get skincare at all I’m 11 and my mom says skincare is too expensive and not worth my time but I’ll go see my siblings friends have skincare and they are 3 years younger than me idk how this is happening
@aquaspaws, the bubble daydream aha serum worked well, same with the daydream
I went to the ulta near my local mall, and i went to the drunk elephant section. I didnt want anything, cause ik its bad and really expensive, so i just wanted to see the prices. My mom and I actually came to ulta for byoma and bubble products. Then we saw a product advisor telling us kindly i shouldn't use drunk elephant, and my mom explained. See, they should have those people in sephora watching over the kids.
I have really bad sensitive skin and my sister let me use her drunk elephant and it broke me out so I bought bubble and it works well on my skin and it helps my skin so I’m glad you have made this vid so you can tell kids that every skin care they see online they don’t need it
Great conversation & I'm glad you reviewed a few of those products that are safe for younger skin -- albeit very expensive. Nice that you also spoke to mental health issues. BTW, your newest hair look is very beautiful ( I love your hair when curly too! )😊
I'm 10 years old Mia on the star what you said no understand you so much thank you to making this video I'm so happy and I understand which skincare product I need to use
So I have 7 products from bubble and she’s right, bubble is one of the best brands I have ever used. The moisturizer is so creamy and smooth, they’re at the top of my skin care routine. Love bubble ❤😊
The dry skin bundle from Bubble is so good for my skin in the summer and winter! It’s good for kids and adults❤
Thank you for mentioning Acure as a GOOD dupe! My aunt owns that brand!
That's so cool🤯😁
No she doesn’t ur js lying
Thank you so much my daughter has been begging me for skin care and I NEEDED to know what was good for her skin this video really helped me. Again thank you so so very much. 😊❤️😊❤️
Kids should not be using retinol thank u for the message😊
I wish there were more people like you !
I’m 13 and I’m starting to do skincare and all I like to use is fresh start cleanser by bubble and a slam dunk moisturizer. The other day I was in TEARS because I was so paranoid with people judging me in their! I love how you are telling what is right to use on your skin because I just learned stuff I never knew lol!
But why are children using retinol?…
Also ulta employees are SOOO NICE! Sephora employees make me feel uncomfortable when my mom shops in there! Thank you so much!
Glow recipe is a big one for me I’d love to see a video more focused on that and I’ll definitely look more into bubble!
My skincare is just chapstick(i have dry lips),a sunscreen and water whats happening to sephora 😭
And the fact drunk elephant is bright and it attracts kids and its ment for more old people
Can I say that I’m turning 11 this year and I’ve NEVER bent to SEPHORA and I’m not allowed to use any other brands other than JOHNSONS products 😭
edit: i turned 11 2 months ago and now i use johnsons and another sunscreen, got a skincare upgrade lol.
I can’t use any skincare
same, but Johnsons lotion works really well on my body
@@KateCha-x8h samee
I never been to Sephora
Yeah I'm NOT allowed to go to ultra or sephora either and I'm 11! I can't believe that kids go in there and mess everything up! I would NEVER! I only use clean and clear and bubble 🫧
My mom said that I could not get skincare because of all the kids and she had me look up all the products before buying it.
Love this vid i love skincare and makeup but i am so polite about it and never even touch any testers and I always look at the ingredients in all my products
I just love that you’re so caring. My mom tells me no for skin care because she doesn’t want me to get acne. I literally just send this to her right now. I feel like I can trust you. I hope you never get acne again.❤❤❤
I have the byoma cleanser and it works so well I’m 10 years old and before I used it my skin felt bumpy but after it my skin was so smooth and soft and I also have some bubble and the bubble works really well I want some drunk elephant and some glow recipe but some of it isn’t good for my skin but I don’t whine like “Mom take me to Sephora now!” I just save up my own money. This video really helped me for good things for my skin thank you so much for making this video now I know what products to most likely use and ones not most likely use!
I am really glad someone agrees with me we need gentle genuine brands not harsh chemicals but with cute packaging
Guuuuurl ! You look soooooo good with them highlights in yo hair 😘🥰😍
Fun fact!
Most bubble product are also suitable for kids! But some chemicals and stronger products aren’t safe for under 13
I was in a few musicals as a kid and did a lot of dance performances. I started my skincare journey at about 8, just to focus on removing the thick stage makeup.
Back then it was a Nivea cleanser or neutrogena cleanser and Nivea soft cream.
At about 10/11, I started introducing facemasks, and by 13 I was really into Korean skincare. I’m 26, so keep in mind Korean skincare was not as mainstream or readily available.
I struggled with a lot of self esteem issues, but for me, my skin was never the source of it.
I worry about kids these days, the internet is a great source of educational content, but our Darwinian nature doesn’t generally allow the internet to be used in such a way for young people, and the rise of social media and trends, and how every feature on your body as something that can be fixed, needs treating, needs hiding or enhancing to be seen as beautiful.
We have always had this to an extent, even before the internet, again, it’s a Darwinian phenomenon that has been enhanced by modern social technology.
But we used to have to search for dangerous content, not just scroll endlessly consuming mindlessly
I am glad you’re making this video because some children like 12-year-olds and 11 years olds should be using skin care cause they get acne and stuff. I am personally a young teen. I personally started getting acne at 7 years old and started puberty at a pretty early age. At 8 I was able to start using a cleanser at 8. But more recently I was able to start using a bit more skincare, like moisturizer and acne cream. I also do Love Bubble! Their Super Clear serum works so well for my skin.
Please do a full video reviewing Byoma products!!! 😊
I think they should put a sign that says "ask for testers when at register" so that the employee can see
this is my skincare routine as a 10yr old :D
cleanser: Burts bees cream cleanser with aloe
moisturizer: bubble slam dunk moisturizer (before I used that I had the neotrageuna)
sunscreen: supergoop (its a bit pricey but so good and it feels rlly nice on your skin, and protects rlly well)
Hmmm that’s a lot of
@Lexicorn698 what is it a lot of? That's a perfectly decent skincare routine for a 10yo who enjoys a bit of self care!
@@sophiehobley828 I forgot lol 😂
That's a perfect skincare routine
“The elephants aren’t drunk, the founder is” I’m dying 🤣🤣🤣
The parents are responsible!
I think Sephora should make a playground inside of the Sephora or a gaming place, so the kids can play their and the parents can do their shopping
I am 12 years old and I love Sephora. I always respect the employees and I don’t even touch the testers one reasons because they’re so dirty from other people using it another reason is I don’t need to use the tester. I only usually use recommended brands by my doctors or friends. The only really skincare products I have and Love 💕 is bubble skin care which is perfect for my skin type and my age And is not too expensive. And when I go to Sephora I usually just look, I don’t use the tester because they are SOO dirty and I don’t want to get rashes . So again, I always respect the workers. And I do not use the testers. Crazy like that. But I do see tester really messed up which really makes me feel bad for the employees. And I do not go to Sephora a lot. Because bubble skincare is not there usually. So I just go to a Walmart. The only time when I go to Sephora usually to get their touch land hand sanitizer or lip gloss/lip oil and some perfume. And I hate the fact that some kids just go to Sephora to just use the testers and not even buy anything.
The first time I ever stepped foot in a Ulta mostly I was looking at the bubble byoma fake nails tree hut stuff like that I saw a drunk elephant display and immediately ran over cause it was my first time ever touching it and etc but as soon as an employee saw me she rushed over and asked us if we needed help I said no and she went away but I could see her and a couple other people looking at me wrong so I felt so self conscious that I ran out of there 😢😢 we need to stop the Sephora kids 😡
I never use makeup or skincare testers. They've always looked sketchy to me.
Drunk elephant should just make a kids line and make everyone happy
I’m 13 and watched this to see what i should get and this helped so much Tysm ❤🎉
They should make Sephora store for 13+. They should also make certain sections like drunk elephant for certain age levels
BLAME THE PARENTS. ABSOLUTELY
As a kid i want skincare like no acid or anything no drunk elephant I want something like moisturizer i have dry skin or a cleanser safe for kids❤
I just can't take all that virtue signaling about cruelty-free seriously if you turn around and support Betterhelp that actually explaoits such a vulnerable population. 🥴
If you go to 11:54 you’ll realize that ,that only product is 16 dollars but for the full pack it’s 24 dollars. This is why I love bubble it’s so cheap and also just as trendy as drunk elephant.
The tinted Bubble sunscreen is *chef’s kiss*
62 here and I'm going to consider the Bubble line for my own use! I mostly use Paula's Choice products, but if I can find satisfactory products that are cheaper, I'll use them.
@@20thcenturyrelicI really recommend any of the moisturizers.. slam dunk, level up, or cloud surf. The one you chose depends on your skin type. I have combination skin and so i got the cloud surf. It feels so good and makes your skin dewy and moisturized!
I have a lot. It comes from face washer to moisturizer. The sunscreen on my face looks better than it did
100% its the parents!
Sephora needs to set an age limit for their stores and get the parents to buy it for them if they want “retinol”
OMG, if Hayden and Cody saw this like OMG everyone go to their comments and tag them right now

Oooh yay, I was hoping you would make this video ☺
I'm 12 years old and I don't have any skincare yet, I have a dry skin type and I only use water to wash my face. I'm going to show my mom this video so she can decide what she thinks i need for my skin type. Tysm for making this video
Cera ve cleaner and a moisturizer is good for you age if you have dry skin
I think kids should be able to go to Sephora and use skincare with boundaries. Being a tween myself, I enjoy shopping at Sephora with my own money and restricting myself to only some things. There are many sites/videos with skincare/makeup tips for kids. I think we should allow kids to have fun with skincare, makeup, haircare, and more, but only to an extent. My point is not every kid that goes to Sephora and has a Stanley is a crazy drunk elephant serum rhetinol kid.
1:34 these girls in the bg are a bad example; the twin’s mother has confirmed they only use *age-appropriate skincare* for *videos only*, and have *never* used retinol.
Those kids who ruin the testers, trash the store, and buy drunk elephant ruin it for other kids who are just being quiet, not even using the testers, and even not wanting to be there and being dragged with their mom
I love you so much! I love you are a survivor! I love that you share your journey and your knowledge! I learn so much from you (I'm age 60)! My granddaughter is 11 and I'm starting to teach her.....we watch you together and learn!❤
I feel that they should have all types of retinol in the back of the store and people would have to ask for it but before the employee would give it to them they would have to ask for their age.
There should be a whole section for them in sephora they are the future. a section just for them where there supervised and actually guided by a profesional they would be real change for the better.

Drunk elephant is 64 dollars for 1 moisturizer!, I got a bubble kit with toner, cleanser, and moisturizer for 34 dollars total steal!
Just wait until those kids find out you can get every good brand at Walmart for cheap 😂

@krystaturner64614 don't share your age and get off that account and her phone
That little girl is actually using safe thing for her skin
Omg this is soo helpful thank you
Ive been teaching my 10 year old grand daughter about skin care. I have got her cerave hydrating cleanser & the ordinary moisturiser. I wouldnt dream of letting her use harsh actives on her face. Nor would i be spending £60 plus on products for her at that age.
You're such a beautiful butterfly, Cassandra❤❤🦋
Hi! I am 10 years old and like Sephora but I’m not one of those Sephora kids that mess with drunk elephant or glow recipe or bubble. All I want is like summer Fridays, and laneige and the perfumes from sol de janerio so I also hate when I go to Sephora and see all these messes
my skin at 14 would have loved all this stuff you can buy now. derms told me to use neutrogena products with benzoyl peroxide and differin... and none of those helped me at all lol
Agreed! We didn't have stuff like this in the early-mid 2000s, these kids are blessed! Also face sunscreens were pretty much non existent or had a horrible consistency 🤢 Big hats and parasols were my friend, lol 😂
Topical agents didn't help my cystic acne either. I finally had to take Accutane to get rid of it.

I’m an 11 year old girl and… I think this is great!! My mum always helps me understand skincare and things like that, and hygiene in general. I see my friends saying that they use these drunk elephant retinols and most of the time they don’t even know what it is! I think your a great TH-camr and u can’t wait to watch more videos ❤❤
