Yeah, the canal that runs through millersport used to be apart of the old erie systems. Run toward canal Winchester I believe. It dead ends out at bickel church rd a few miles down the line but tractor crossings block boat passage nowadays. A lot of shallow spots from silt and mud carrying around in heavy storms. Your kayak could probably cross some of them dragging it over or with some flip down wheels but my experience, not a whole lot up through there anymore. Too much runoff, mostly golden shiners, some bluegill, and little channel cats back there. Plenty of mid size common carp too
I like your videos man. Just a regular dude having fun. I want to go there sometime so I watch your vids to try and figure out what to use and what not. I'm about 1-1/2 hr away. I'm near plesant hill and charlesmill. They don't seem to be a stocked as well as buckeye or indian.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. And yeah Indian and buckeye are definitely the best. Troy says Alum is awesome too, I’ve just never spent any time there. I need to really try to get out there for 2024. My goal is to spend more time on the rivers and venture out a little more this year. If you make a plan to come out this way let me know when, at the very least maybe I can point you in the right direction or tell you what worked best for me that week. @@TKJ_Fishing yep no problem. Ya alum isn't far from me either maybe 45 min...just wanna try some bank fishing those places before I take the boat. The spillways at pleasant hill and charlesmill rock in the spring. But after that I go to the lake and it no where like I see ppl catch them at buckeye
