Awesome! I wanted to check that one out too. My original goal was to hit Apache for flounder so we actually booked our hotel based on that distance but the weather was hot garbage storming the whole time. Made the water clarity suck so everything was tight lipped.

Typically 1/4oz, if the strikes are slow then I’ll drop to 3/16oz for a slower fall, if it’s super windy I’ll up to 3/8oz for control and feel.

I mean, if it changes to quickly yeah. I think the rainfall and rolling water temps definitely impact it. Throw the carp spawn in the mix and I think it probably did

Good chance! This was from Friday, I was super tired finishing up the edit and forgot the date lol. Did you do any good? Boat? Bankfishing? A lot of people were targeting Crappie this week. Seemed like the rain pushed the bite well into the afternoon. Last nights rain may very well have ended the good bites.. only one way to find out! I’ll be back out Tuesday morning if the weather allows it

Yep I’ve collected some wine corks over the years to make into bobbers. Got a couple in on my dresser.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. And yeah Indian and buckeye are definitely the best. Troy says Alum is awesome too, I’ve just never spent any time there. I need to really try to get out there for 2024. My goal is to spend more time on the rivers and venture out a little more this year. If you make a plan to come out this way let me know when, at the very least maybe I can point you in the right direction or tell you what worked best for me that week. If it’s not uploaded on video ofcourse!

The spillways at pleasant hill and charlesmill rock in the spring. But after that I go to the lake and it no where like I see ppl catch them at buckeye

Yeah, the canal that runs through millersport used to be apart of the old erie systems. Run toward canal Winchester I believe. It dead ends out at bickel church rd a few miles down the line but tractor crossings block boat passage nowadays. A lot of shallow spots from silt and mud carrying around in heavy storms. Your kayak could probably cross some of them dragging it over or with some flip down wheels but my experience, not a whole lot up through there anymore. Too much runoff, mostly golden shiners, some bluegill, and little channel cats back there. Plenty of mid size common carp too

Buckeye lake is absolutely amazing for saugeye and has fairly good crappie too. I moved to dayton this year so I'm struggling to learn all the new waters near me.

@@littlelothar big Joshua swim bait on a 1/16oz or an 1/8 Oz jighead, remember the lake is only like 7 feet deep the entire lake. Lighter the jig longer the jig is in the strike zone.

Not right now I don’t, haven’t had any luck finding them yet this fall. The bite has been slow and it seems the few caught have been on minnows, make sure you get em from Jim over at the millersport bait shop. And if there’s any location they’re biting when you come out, he’ll point you in the right direction! good luck! And tell him I sent ya😉

Yeah the majority here do. Every once in a while you get some real dark ones with giant eyes. My PB last year heavily favored the sauger side. It was a wicked fish man, row after row of teeth! Check the vid out!

Yessir. Ive come to love squirrel hunting with air rifles. We did a lot better last year, you’ll have to go check that video out

I’m going to go out on a limb and say: 1. You must not be a hunter (obvious) 2. They’re pretty tasty (and abundant) 3. If you think we kill for “gain” of something then you probably should scroll on by bud, because this isn’t for you

Yep! 100%. I saw more bucks in bow range than squirrels lol. Which means the bucks will be gone opening day and I’ll be full draw on at least 30 squirrels😂
