I really appreciate your videos and look forward to each one. I want to see your IFORM video. I have been using UG/NX since version UG16. What I really like is when you explain in detail the advance splines/surfacing features NX has. I work with splines/surfaces of airfoils on turbine blades and would really like to better understand, clearly, spline continuity, KNOTs/Contour points and how they affect the NURBS surface. How to better analyze (use the tools in NX) the splines / surfaces to ensure the cleanest/simplest form possible while maintaining tolerance. I understand many of the techniques in your videos and use many as yourself; however, I know if I understood the underlining contour of the splines/surfaces better I believe I could get betters splines/surfaces in the end and therefore have better geometry that works better with NX manufacturing. Since I also produce the CNC programs the 5-axis of these surfaces, I am always looking to improve/speed-up the 5-axis manufacturing process with splines/surface results to decrease tool-path calculation times
Thank you for all of the comments. It pleases me to no end that it is really helping you out. Surface construction and complexity really play a massive role in your world. I have seen it countless times where a much simpler solution would have corrected downstream issues. I got your email and will respond shortly. All the best
