    I'm creating a "crib" in a control gauge for gap and flush, and I was having trouble with some offset surfaces that doesn"t match. I solve the problem spliting the face and using x-form to adapt both to be tangent to the nearest faces!

    So what i figure out about patches and knot is that if there is a particular area on a surface which i want to move and the regular U ,V lines are not there on that location, i can make a line there by patches so as to modify that surface on that specific part ??
    Like you can draw control lines in other M CAD softares and then modify them, so this patch thing is something similar in NX or something else ?

      Similar yes. It creates a "boundary" on the face. There is a continuity between the 2 new faces and in most cases it remains smooth.
