A tutorial on the various options for Sweep in CATIA and NX would be fantastic, I don't quite understand when you would use what option, and what for instance a spine is necessary for.
[Nephew of Ida] Thank you very much. I have the experience that you have to play often a quarter hour long before you find the correct way. I came from CATIA and I am enthusiastic about NX.
Hello, thanks for these videos, it helps a lot. Can you please let me know the importance of anchor points and why sweep asks for it sometimes and doesn't compute on its own. Thanks for your reply.
Hi Sir, Can you explain or make a video regarding "how to make B-surface parametric ".Moreover is it right to use fill option in B-Surface.Why we should Use the sweep option in plastic CAD designs.what are the demerits in using fill and multi-section in plastic CAD designs to fill the patch up the surface in CAD.
I have a lot of videos regarding the questions you have asked. Fill vs Multi: Well, that is a huge question. I do not use Fill a lot as it can build crazy surfaces. In fact here is a video on Fill I recently did. th-cam.com/video/DARwG283OKM/w-d-xo.html
Hi I havent used catia that much, but why most of complex surfaces done in catia are dirty with a lot of lines? And what about the NX function match edge, what is the correct way to make it work?
Thanks for the good question. There are ways to minimize those patches but it adds a bit of work. NX has ways as well but it is better at smoothing. NX allows the user to easily enter allowable deviations when a surface is created to help remove all of those patches. Match Edge is a great tool which I use. Depending upon what you are doing it mat be easier to create on large surface where you have many small slivers.

@@SquishMe Thank you! I am planning a V6 course now. Also some freestyle/NURBS courses. Please leave a comment or 2 over there about additional courses.

Sir please Make a full video of all surfacing tools of nx . How to properly & better use them.
Please make a video on sweep(all commands) tool in catia with explanation
Please make a video with setback ,fill twisted area and other options of Catia sweep with proper example
Do you analyze quality of surfaces you get from CATIA and NX using these tools?

Thanks.
i miss the catia/nx videos
Sorry, been really busy. Something you want to see specifically?
Are these nurbs surfaces?
Great!
Thanks
Unigraphics -catia which is best?
i am perusing mechanical engineering, and which software wil be the best one to Learn CAD Catia or unigraphics!
In Asia it seems CATIA is the better choice for now. NX is coming in but CATIA still has the edge.
What About in german ?which nx or catia they use
keep exploring...$
nx has a ugly interface, it seems excel! ;)
They have cleaned it up a lot over the years. You can change things around.
they use the same MFC Ribbon menu as excel
Catia has the worst interface of all software ever made my man,its hard to look at some 1995 shit
Steven Marjieh?
Yep...
