  • I went out to Paradise Drag strip missed around and got luck and won the street car class

      had I feel comfortable to turn it up. I might would have stepped up to small tire.

    Those 8.8's are like the GM rearends and eat up gears prematurely. Have to keep an eye on them and always have an extra set of gears on hand.

      This one lasted a long time. My cover hasn’t been off since it was built in 2015. Only thing i did was drain the oil on refill it lol.

      @boostinwillie I get it. It's not like they go out in a week... lol. It's just the positioning of the pinion to the ring gear and the lack of support on the front of the pinion. Trust me, I have always run GM rearends (8.5 10 bolts and of course the 12 bolts as well) with no issues for years but they will eat up the gears long before a 9" will. Just ask turbo john about the 8.8 in his old car. He was swapping gears all the time.

      @@boostinwillie yes, his new car has a 9". His old car with the 8.8 was still 4 lug.... lol.
