Nothing brightens my day more than when Aaron 'Cybertron' Zheng climbs the online regulation E VGC ladder in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and provides live commentary as he goes.
I like to do it outside.. I notice it never rains on days that Aaron “cybertron” Zheng climbs the online regulation E VGC ladder in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and provides live commentary as he goes.
I think the old Regi's need buffed. I would give the old Regi Trio abilities like Drago and Eleki got. 30% increased damage as their first Ability. I think all Regis should get Sturdy as their second Ability and then they get a Hidden Ability. * Regidrago - Strong Jaw * Regieleki - Analytic * Regice - Clear Body * Regirock - Solid Rock * Registeel - Heatproof Dragon Maw would be nerfed to 30% but I think a Dragon Fang move should be added to the game, it is weird that a Dragon Type biting move doesn't exist. This would give Regidrago a physical set option using biting moves. but still let them use their Special sets with the 30% boost to Dragon Type moves and in combination with Tera Type, Dragon Energy and Draco Meteor. Additionally I think the old Regi Trio need signature moves. * Regice - Hoarfrost: Ice Type | Status | Protect, if snowing also recover 1/3rd HP * Regirock - Undermine: Rock Type | 85 Power | 100% Accuracy | Physical (No Contact) | Damages target Pokémon and removes Aurora Veil, Light Screen, Reflect and Safeguard. * Registeel - Meltdown: Steel Type | 200 Power | 100% Accuracy | Physical | User faints, damages all adjacent Pokémon and leaves behind Electric Terrain. Edited: Per feedback
Honestly best QOTD answer I’ve seen. Only thing I would remove is Regirocks signature move being able to go through protect, having a 100% accurate rock move that breaks screens is already very good
Arguably the best part of his content is that he doesn't win every game. He leaves in his losses. First off, this makes watching it way more intense knowing that he might lose the matches. Second off, it highlights the team's flaws like nobody else can. Love the Videos!
Funnily, with the change to snow, now Regice and Regirock do mirror each other: Regirock gets high Defense stat and Sand to boost their Sp. Def., while Regice has high Sp. Def. and boost their Defense via Snow.
QOTD: Buff the Lake Guardians! It'd be cool if they got Fairy regional forms with a new signature ability or something like that. I wish they did something like this either in BDSP or LA, but it feels like the opportunity has passed now.
I absolutely love G Articuno. It's such a massive mind f*** when you don't know what you can reliably bring out against it. Psychic and Ice can cover so many more meta pokemon than people realize. Even though it's my favorite, takes out Urshifu, Amoongus, Rilla, genies, etc. QOTD, please Gamefreak, buff Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Favorite trio, but feels like they're so underwhemling compared to the others.
the thing i find most interesting about g-articuno is the ability to have both tailwind AND trick room while also having imprison. granted that only leaves you 1 slot for an attack (freezing glare), but i still think it could be amazing utility in the right situations. ive messed around with it a bit. a normal tera throat spray hyper voice variation (more dmg focused, freezing glare, hyper voice, shadow ball, protect) and the more bulk utility oriented. i didnt find a ton of success with either, but it did catch a lot of people off guard, and was extremely fun. VERY punishing for people who dont [prankster] tailwind t1. i will note that i think it was the team surrounding g-articuno (cause i was using teams of entirely off meta mons essentially, just to try new things) is why it didnt work as well as it could have, not bc the mon itself is lackluster. anywho, now to watch the vid, lmao.
Been running Galar Articuno, it's been so fun! Chi-yu × Articuno core has been very explosive with Chein-pao × Dragapult in the back Great content as usual
it's really enriching to observe your thought process after a loss, how you reflect on what could have gone better. Also, Jamie's team has added to my list of teambuilding inspirations going forward, I found a match in how much space the combination of articuno and rmoon creates, alongside Jamie's bulky ahh spreads. Keep up the good work!
It's funny how, in game 1, them mimicking a different team worked for them in that you didn't expect that taunt, but also worked against them in that you didn't Fake Out to make the Trick Specs work the way they wanted.
I would give raikou and suicune a powerful signature move to fit in with entei's sacred fire (even though its not exclusive i know). I would give raikou a 100bp electric move that hits ground types for not very effective damage, not just immune called ascended bolt. I would give suicune an 85bp water spread move that also heals any status conditions and negative status such as taunt or salt cure from itself and its ally called purifying stream
BUFF LAKE TRIO lol. I just love the lake trio so many memories from platinum and they are not great they really need a stat redistribution, but if not them regis because there my favorite trio (:
The lake trio all having the same typing and ability is honestly so brutal. On top of that psychic levitate overlaps roles with Cresellia, they really were the least blessed trio of all generations.
At least you show you're fighting against Master ball rank. All these other channels hide what rank their in and claim to be high level players. We want to see high level play not beating up on lower ranked players. Good job
I think that's why James Baek always shows the opponent and rank before every battle too. Though this early in the Month everyone gets knocked down to Ultra Ball for the season reset.
@Kasaaz yea other youtubers they don't show and then laugh and bully lower ranked opponents. You can tell with the matches when the opponent doesn't do optimal plays.
I’m surprised at the end of game 5 you didn’t go for protect gholdengo and ice spinner into Annihilape I feel at half with the dragon tera that could’ve gotten the knockout good games overall love every video!
A boyt team always gets me excited. Would love to see him in call giving you feedback on your usage of the team. You did that kind of collab with someone else once. Dope concept. Would def enjoy it
Boyt and you gave me ideas on how to use G-articuno in a different setup. I've been trying to figure out usage for it for a while. If it works nicely I'll share the team with you. Thanks!
QOTD: I'd love for Raikou to get buffed somehow (how idk, maybe with electric terrain as a hidden ability 🤔). Entei and Suicune are viable and used. The Kanto and Galar legendary birds are both viable and used. But Raikou is kind of left behind
QOTD: The Johto trio. They all have pressure and inner focus as abilities. I think that changing that wil make them way more fun. They all "suffer" from having just one typing, maybe you can really give them something that suits them better. Lightning rod, storm drain and a similar one for fire but without the stat boostst would be awesome for them. That way they only counter pokemon from their own typing and it can keep extreme meta pokemon in check (urshifu, earlier charizard of regieleki).
back when it first released, I used a Galatian articuno with bisharp and got into master ball rank in 9 games after months of not playing (I was waiting for that expansion to release), it was pretty easy to exploit the lando and incineroar spam
I would love the lake trio to be buffed. Gen 4 has a lot of meaning for me and I loved trying to catch them when I was younger. Just sucks that they suck.
I love G-Articuno. Imprison trick room is also a neat set QOTD buff the swords of justice. Justified is and ok ability and sacred sword is decent but those Pokémon have not held up well.
I want the genies buffed just because i think Lando T rage is hilarious. In actuality i want the creation trio buffed in the way everyone wanted already by giving Palkia an ability that sets gravity on switch in instead of pressure, Dialga one that sets TR, and maybe the Giratina one turns the battle into an Inverse battle for 4 turns as its the antimatter Pokemon
Articuno has been one of my favourites ever since I used it in Pokémon Stadium. One of my favourite childhood memories is getting lost in the stupid Seafoam Islands cave and finding Articuno. My idea was to fight Articuno in hopes that it K.O.'s my team so that I get out of the cave. I threw Pokéballs at it and accidentally caught it before it destroyed my team. Don't know how I got out of the cave afterwards.
I would want to buff the gen 4 creation trio first, give those 3 another better ability, their pressure and telepathy r just below average for Giratina, I would say make the shadow force weaker but no need to take a turn, keep the protect-ignore thing is ok, and maybe give it recovery moves so the normal form at least make itself a decent tank for Giratina-O, i think er give at stat buff for form change, otherwise, it will have problem of taking an entire item slot just for very little benefit
Buff the Swords of Justices, unlike some of the other trios, like the Lake Trio, I think they just need a little bit of help. Give them some real abilities (or at least make Justified anti-Intimidate) and maybe some nice doubles moves. Just give ‘em all Fake Out looool

Is it just me or does the Tera animation for Dragon have a little bit for space on the top? Ie, it was obvious it was dragon a couple seconds before the reveal ‘cuz of the extra space Other Tera types don’t have this extra space I think?
Hot take: I wish you got more points in ranked for winning with less used mons to motivate people to be creative... the meta gets so boring, im tired of playing against the same teams over and over...
We saw three non-meta teams in this video: Galarian Moltres, Cinderace and Mono Ghost. What more do you want? Compared to ranked ladders in TCG games (magic, hearthstone, yu-gi-oh) this meta is already super diverse.
@@Arthurboy777 They are all built differently, with different tera types, held items and movesets. That is variation enough. Are you going to complain that 100% of FPS games contain guns? p.s. Flutter Mane does have the highest usage now, but only at 51%, that's very far from "always"
So game 1 opponent how did they change that team to the variant you thought? Was it a GEN or did they build up the team from scratch and change it to their specifications?
What's the best way to ev train? Does 1 vitamin give you the 4? I'm so confused how at how to get the 4 from vitamins since they give you 10 evs and the first level goes up by 4 and the rest are 8 😂.
I assume H-Arcanine is slightly more aggressive with the rock stab, and you can tera the weaknesses away if you have to, it might have a slightly higher attack stat? Idk honestly, but that's my guess

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason for Splash Plate over Mystic Water on Urshifu?
Nah, they effectively do the exact same thing
Plates have the divine luck of Arceus of course
the reasoning is that Jamie can say no when opponents ask if it is mystic water in closed teamsheet format
Here I am, rooting for an Imprison-like move or ability that prevents foes using your same items
