      - Poison types will never miss Toxic, and will hit through Fly and Dig.
      - Ghost types can always flea a wild battle.
      - Emergency Exit will not switch Golisopod out if hit by a Pokemon with Sheer Force hold a Life Orb... and will not switch out by the effects of Substitute, Curse and Pain Split
      - Gravity not only Grounds ALL Pokemon on the filed, accuracy is increased by 34% for all Pokemon moves, excluding OHKO moves.
      - Grassy Terrain reduces the power of Earthquake and Earth Power
      - Hypnosis is the only Psychic move that will land on Dark types
      - A lot of moves have certain interactions with others:
Minimized Pokemon take more damage from Stomp
Dive Pokemon take more damage from Surf
Defense Curl increases damage of Roll Out

While that would be interesting, I think that the gen 7+ starter pokémon had their signature moves carefully crafted into specifically fit their theme and anatomy without most of the other pokémon being able to replicate them. It also gives an excuse to let the starters stand out amongst their peers in order to give people a reason to keep them in their teams since no other pokémon can do those moves. (Incineroar's Darkest Lariat is an exception for some reason). Who knows, perhaps we'll get another musical themed fire type, or an archer bird, or grass magician? Either way, it would be sad if the gen 9 signature moves get distributed more because GF would probably need to nerf them if they did.

I think you’re massively overstating how “bad” Leaf Blade is for Sceptile. Yes, Sceptile is built for Special Attacks and the mismatch is unfortunate, but it’s not like Sceptile sets never run Leaf Blade.
Like you mentioned, Sceptile’s movepool is geared towards physical attacks. It sometimes runs physical Swords Dance sets, in which case Leaf Blade is its primary STAB option.
Compared to Emboar’s Heat Crash or Blaziken’s Blaze Kick, or even Inteleon Snipe Shot, Sceptile gets much more use out of Leaf Blade.

I love how if you breakdown flower trick, that deceptively weak seeming 70 power move becomes insanely broken conceptually.
Its a 105 base power STAB move that ignores the user's attack drop and the foe's defense drops and also ignores screens. Oh yeah but it will factor in the user's attack boosts and opponents defense drops 😊. (your only damage reduction is burn lmao)

But in ash gren case, thats a priority stab in a hands of legendary level sp.atk that always deals big damage, cuz battle bond not only raises the move's bp to 25 per hit, but guarantees 3 hits instead of 2.

one of the interesting aspects of Water Shuriken is that its surprisingly effective w/King's rock when the flinch chance works, especially if Greninja can come in behind a substitute and/or is able to have Evasion stacks as long as there's no water immune mons.
I can still recall my Greninja flinching a human opponent's venusaur for legit over 10 turns straight from Water Shuriken Spam w/King's rock flinch chance activating back in da x & y days.
sure the chance is low since you're more than likely to hit 2-3 times rather than 4-5
but it weirdly works decently well 🤔
as for da High Crit rate moves like Leaf Blade/Blaze Kick, those're some of my fave moves, esp Blaze Kick's animation in the Colosseum/Battle Revolution spin-off series.
sure their power/accuracy(for Blaze Kick) may be their weak point but the high crit ratios really nice.
I always like using these even if there's stronger moves that could be used
