Sinistcha is definitely my favorite addition because of hospitality alone. There needs to be more abilities that activate on switch in. Would love one that removes stat changes from partner Pokémon or something.
Galarian Slowking’s Curious Medicine ability does that actually. Curious Medicine: When the Pokémon is brought into battle, any stat alterations of allies are removed
It's cool to see how the poison type developed. Using poison tera defensively and munki providing utility as well as the potential to OHKO opponents is awesome!
QOTD: It's not really for the competitive aspect of the game, but my favorite addition from the DLC has been the Poliwag family. Poliwhirl and Nidoking are my two most favorite Pokemon from Gen 1, so getting to bring my frog buddy from childhood into the new generation through Pokemon HOME has made me really happy.
I just now realized the reason the thumbnail background is always the same (sometimes treasure eatery or showcased mon tera'd with darkened background due to night effect from tera) of the blue tiles isnt because it gels well with the thumbnail cutouts, but because its one of if not the only arena without Cheering Grandma and crew.
QOTD: Competitively speaking, my favourite addition is probably A-Ninetales. Sure, it doesn't like going against Torn, but for me its screens have opened a world of possibilities. It lets me slow down the pace pf the game, and play some bulkier/slower teams like Annihilape or Fezandipity.

Excuse my ignorance but why didn't you ko the iron hands on the second turn with monkidori as another psychic would have Ko him. Then they would have led with ursaluna and you could've tera Moltres and parting shot and possibly have ended the march easier or am I wrong. Truly wanting to know the mindset or even, why my play is wrong or possible would've not matter and lend you the win either way.
I used the kommo o team that won the first reg e regional but the team sheet says flutter has trick room when on Cart it has psyshock I lost a round bc of it can you change it so that doesn’t happen again just letting you know because I ended up dropping because of it
Why burn doesn't cut at half the special just the same as attack, it's really annoying with some pokemon like blood moon ursaluna... Or scarf kyogre it's annoying as fack
because otherwise burn would be overpowered. will-o-wisp would be a single move that cripples every single offensive pokemon that isn't somehow immune. every mon that learns it would always run it.
@@thewheeloffate0 correct. that's a deliberate design choice. physical attackers can be handled with mon-specific tools like burn and intimidate, while special attackers can be handled with tools like assault vest that basically any offensive mon can run. they're not supposed to be symmetrical. also snarl and mystical fire have pretty decent distribution
"SUPER FUN" Thumbnail shows a legendary in Galarian Moltres, a commonly used Pokemon in Milotic, and one of the worst-designed Pokemon to date who is also similar to a legendary, Munkidori and yeah probably the most interesting Pokemon here is Hisuian Arcanine*, and even then it's not like Arcanine is a competitively interesting Pokemon, it's just weird that the rock type is included here. Sinistcha is second place and somewhat interesting but all good will is evaporated by the inclusion of Grimmsnarl... 1:17 QOTD: the campaign *wait, hisuian arcanine is more common competitively than arcanine? well that's weird and also is a point against me finding this team fun... oh of course, rock slide and tera
