If the Saudis are so bad why does the UK government allow them to organize a league tournament in London? It's all about oil and money, so let's drop the idea of shaming golfers for trying to earn more. New golfers usually don't get funding and sponsors until they start winning which is a lot of financial pressure. Respectfully, I don't exactly agree with your point nor Greg Norman's that somehow golf is going to change shady resources. Instead, I think it will only change us. We tried this with China, thinking that capitalism and the example of the American dream would somehow transform their government. In the end, it only transformed us. They lured manufacturing away with lucrative deals, stole many copyrights and put tens of thousands out of work. The LIV players should all have the balls to admit they ONLY doing it for the money and forget the other tours. Stop giving other BS reasons AND wanting to play on the other tours. Remember they did sign contracts with the DP and PGA tours and they currently in default. I'll respect them more for being honest and honouring their contracts. I was against this at first but now that I think about it, I’m a huge snooker fan and if it wasn’t for their China events, the game wouldn’t be anywhere near as big and exciting as it is now. The PGA made these guys rich and famous and they are turning their backs on the history of the game and all the others who built it before them. New golfers usually don't get funding and sponsors until they start winning which is a lot of financial pressure. Respectfully, I don't exactly agree with your point nor Greg Norman's that somehow golf is going to change shady resources. Instead, I think it will only change us. We tried this with China, thinking that capitalism and the example of the American dream would somehow transform their government. In the end, it only transformed us. They lured manufacturing away with lucrative deals, stole many copyrights and put tens of thousands out of work. Thus, we now depend on them for the majority of our goods and have made them exceedingly powerful beyond their borders and now threatening others. They own our debt, and in part, they own us. I was against this at first but now that I think about it, I’m a huge snooker fan and if it wasn’t for their China events, the game wouldn’t be anywhere near as big and exciting as it is now. China’s government is just as bad as Saudi Arabia, but snooker needs money and tournaments. Not saying I support LIV, China, or Saudi related sport, but it’s just tough.
