So whose British voice is this?
George French?
I've been running Odyssey parts for half my life and finally bought a Clutch today 😁
hey thanks for taking the time to explain it
Will there be slag
can you help me to get rid off the wobbling on my v1?
jaredbikes reyes replace the bearings, should sort it out
loctite 638 on main bearings + clutch to main pearing
@@aidengregory9089 i already replace the bearing still wobbling
@@jaredskybmx5016 thats just how coasters are. they always gonna wobble
@@jaredskybmx5016 probably the driver
I have this same hub and i have a problem where when i try pedaling it won’t engage until 3 or 4 rotations after, i’m not sure if this is fixable because i took it to a Bmx shop and they said that they can’t find the problem.
Dominic did you grease it or do anything to it
tyler jones Nope it just started out of no where while i was ridding
If you’ve already tried adjusting your slack to tighter and it’s still happening, the most likely culprit is your clutch itself, it’s beginning to wear out and not gripping as much, or your slack adjustment is wearing and it’s allowing play, the problem with going with soft parts to allow for heavier impacts is that they wear out, and if you don’t take it apart to regrease it and clean it out either you’re allowing more wear than normal
@@tough.minds1 you got to buy v2 plastic mechanism and replace old one, will work perfectly
That's a lie you cannot use pedal pressure with this khe style clutch. The ribs on the clutch wear down if you put pedal pressure on it when rolling backwards. That is why any coaster with khe style clutch start skipping and not engaging when you pedal. Learn to half cab, use a back brake, or get a cassette.
nope. you can still use pedal pressure depending on how you adjust your slack. but if you continue using pressure on a freecoaster your hub wont last long i think.
I used pressure on my hub, although it’s a Ceneca Freecoaster so I’m not sure if that’d change the result
Start pedaling forward on any freecoaster hub and it will engage.
There must be a third way..... 🤔
Sprag clutch . Onyx does it but it's heavy.
Honestly, I'm contemplating either sprag clutch or free coaster , I just want a silent hub my Shimano is quite quiet but , it's not silent.
pressure can be used ??

RIP Z Coaster.
What do you mean, Odyssey? You've gone with a tried and tested engagement system. I see what you mean about the pawl based system. It reminds me of a pole vaulter that snaps his/her pole. The traditional clutch system is like a car's clutch, it works because it's not a sudden, catastrophic halt.
is this mind boggling to anyone else?
