You guys are forever making some of the greatest stuff out there and a name that can be trusted in BMX. I haven't had any issues with my BSD Revolutions so I'll likely stick with them. However, I'm curious about the weight of the new Clutch Pro and just how much you can reduce the slack to.
Like the V2? Barely 1/16 pedal of adjustment..? Kinda missed a opportunity in my opinion. Could have made a hub that can run 90-0° slack, like a full 1/2 crank of adjustment and ride everything. I get that the pros are pros and slay anything that’s free but consumers like more flexibility.
The issue i have with buying a new freecoaster is having to spend time delacing a rim, buying new spokes and nipples, and the time to rebuild if the hub sucks. I'd happily pay more for a product that does as promised. Sadly we have marketing BS to sell a product instead of the product doing what it is intended to do without major flaws. Far too many flaws in bmx parts now, or QC issues. I've just picked up a new 7KA and DT spokes, but i'm still unsure on what hub to lace it to. This hub gives me such little information to go on, no weight listing, no slack information, no spare parts availability. I feel like as parts got better, prices never increased enough to counter the longer duration you can run them, and the money sucking rich (energy/ manufacturing/ shipping costs) forced manufacturing to cut corners to keep prices similar to what they were as consumers also do not have enough cash anymore.
I have a planetary on my jumper and a bsd coaster on my park/street bike. I can't trust the planetary because it randomly decides to engage. So I think I am in the market for a new cassette and a new coaster hub, cause I am getting side to side play on my wedtcoaster.
I liked the BSD Rev most of the time. The subtle click of the pawls but coasting is fun. I missed pedal pressure too much and couldn’t trust it when about 10% of the time it would just engage on a roll back. Wish Odyssey just got it together and made an adjustment that goes right up to almost zero slack. Then I’d just flip flop between full coast and almost cassette feel. These V2 and ..”PRO”.. only have like a 1/16 crank of adjustment.. I think that’s about a 1/3 of what is really breaking ground on adjustability.
Too much work for a hub,if a professional bike mechanic has to take it apart for you,we're getting into mountain bike territory.Odyssey is amazing, and even this hub is amazing too,but too much going on.Cassette all day, they're simple and almost impossible to break.
Definitely gonna be my next hub I hope it comes in complete wheel

This hub seems to addressed you concerns of adjustability
That looks like a fire hub
Engineering 🔥
Do you have the exact weight of the hub ?? every shop give different wieght
Will this version use the same Spoke length as the other clutch coasters?
Badass

Had nothing but disappointment with planetary coasters. This looks like a game changer. Hopefully doesn't get the side to side hub wobble the v2 had.
That is by no means normal, please contact warranty to get it sorted out.

Every freecoaster I’ve had with a needle roller bearing in the driver have crushed on me
But Odyssey engineer said in the V2 breakdown you will “never” have to replace a driver cause they put needles in it.
Primo balance 2?😮
