I was going to leave a comment asking if it was possible to clip outside of Spongebob's Pinapple to get past the 50 Shiny Object door but I suppose it's impossible to get out after that.
For that spatula, the game tracks how many times you enter and leave a trigger area above the ground. But this area doesn't cover the whole house, so by entering and leaving the trigger rapidly you can get 10 "jumps" in really quickly.
It's a glitch called combo storage. The sandcastle tiki stack at the beginning gave me a combo, but the shiny objects from said combo aren't given to the player until the combo ends. Quitting mid-combo allows the game to give 50 shiny objects while in the menu screen, and this counter isn't reset when a new save game is made, so we can start with 50.
@@speedycube64 That's not what bothers me so much as it starts in the middle of the previous game session instead of the beginning. Which is maybe a weird thing to care about, I know. Regardless this is pretty cool!

Yep, that mission defines jumping as going in and out of a trigger, and in this spot we can go in and out of it 10 times in 20 frames
