Coach Rolando: Thank you for sharing your dry suit evaluation. Even though I grew up in the ocean around my home island of Maui, I personally prefer crystal clear but colder water than what is found there at home. Still, NO WAY would I have braved the Charles River in February! The valuable tips I learned from this video lesson: having to wear booties lessens feeling board performance sensitivity through one’s feet; taking extra care getting in/out of a dry suit to avoid tearing neck, wrist, & ankle seals w/ any sharp objects like a wristwatch, earrings, or fingernails. I’ve warched your "learning to ride" coaching video many times now. I’ll be taking a road trip Gloucester, MA end of May. I might get in touch w/ Steve to find out if there are any Fliteboard instructors up there. I’ll wave to you as I pass Boston on the way up to Cape Ann. Aloha! Robby :-)

I give lessons to as you might know here in Boston...May is much better here for sure...Steve is a great guy...I get my boards services with him. Look at the videos of the people who taook lessons with me...they all did well. Glad to know that you are picking up on the tips I give lol.

I hate the winter cold too. That’s why I moved to Spain, now living just outside of Barcelona. I live right at the beach. You are welcome to come over in the winter. No need to bring your boards. There is even a cable wakeboard place within walking distance.

This is the EXACT video I was looking for! I’m Wanting to get an efoil but it’s already approaching fall in Alaska so I needed to see if a dry suit would actually be good enough! Thanks

I feel you so much here, brother! Haha.. I have one drysuit and am constantly debating myself wether to take my efoil out with it or not. I’m in withdrawal mode! I CANNOT wait for next month too here in New York.

True...same here...As I said, the fun of water sports is the water itself...but when is freezing is just miserable and not worth it....NY is the same as here...so I guess another month or so until is at leant mendable...be safe bud

heated gloves, socks, and a 5 mil scuba hood will have you toasty down to 35 degrees or so. i wear a thin wetsuit under the dry suit. takes more like 15 min to suit up, but worth it for the extra few months of riding imo. the hands and feet are def the limiting factors

    • @Coach_Rolando

That is good adocica … but 15 min dressing up sucks uh? Lol… that is what I mean that is not enjoyable to ride in the winter lol

Sailor trick for dry suit head gasket: put a big tomato can or jug wider than your neck in the gasket overnight to stretch it.

Trust me… I did that… I used a small protein powder container and left like that for one week and I also trimmed about 1/4 inch .. still right… but it will be good I’ve day

I remember you did a video on board damage in the past, but I can’t find it anymore. It seems you are using a nose guard on your board. Is that one from Surfco? If so, which model? I’m getting my board in a few days and I’m thinking about putting a nose guard on and maybe rail tape. I live right at the beach and can walk to the sea, but have to put board down on concrete to hose it down every time. Appreciate your answer.

What is up bud… this is the link of the video of all stuff I put in my board and also the things I recommend for you to have with you in case of emergency… th-cam.com/video/mabBzXAB_3A/w-d-xo.html look at description bellow on this video and you will see the exactly link for the correct nose guard… yes I think is the brand you mention… if you are riding in the ocean every day then yes is good for you to rinse the salt water for sure… but once I week I would remove the front wing…as you remove the wing you will see a “nut” there… is basically anti corrosion… so I would clean that and spray a WD40 once a week. I hope this helps.

Way too cold to ride. I am in same temps in Kansas. Can’t wait for warmer days. Do you still ride your green pro board? Or is the ultra a better ride? Love your videos and efoil help and content. Thanks!

Last time I rode my Pro board was in Florida and I had a really bad accident damaging my board really bad...(back in dec)...(Im about to make that video now)...so when I was there I end up buying the Ultra...to e honest I like the Pro better...easier to get on foil...but great for surfing and "pumping"...so Ill get another Pro for sure...but meanwhile Im using the Ultra...I have a Normal size board but I way too big...Great to know you like the videos bud...Got more comping up soon...also Im working on some cool Efoil Merch ... keep checking out and thank you again and please share...be safe bud

@@Coach_Rolando I agree, I have a series 3 Pro and I sure don't feel any need to get an Ultra, the Pro is the sweet spot for me, small enough to ride waves but big enough to still be easy to get up and foiling.

@@felixVanDiemen No doubt Felix...the Pro is a great all around board for sure...specially if you are in the 175 to 200lbs weight rang ... I hope you are enjoying your 3 series...Ill be doing a review on them around parole for sure
