Ya, mine too! Reminds me of my dad's Team Associated RC10 gold pan when I was little. Seems those have gotten a little too expensive to bash now a day!!

Outstanding video! Thanks for the detailed info on the car.
I am still running the stock axles in mine. I will check out what you are running.
Have you changed out the dinky 3.5mm bullets on the motor? Maybe yours are 4mm going directly into the ESC? My speed run buddy LightningDad13 showed me some logs of the temp reduction jumping up to 6.5mm bullets (on the stock ESC)…. But I guess that doesn’t apply to your setup.
Ave you tried removing the rear wing yet? Maybe do a 2s or 3s run and see how it reacts. There is still a lot of speed left on the table.
I don’t need my wheelie bar anymore. It I have just left it in for now.👍. It saved me from flipping a few times but I am debating taking it off.
Love the battery tie down. Wish I hard a better transmitter… still running the stock one.

lol, Thanks, ya I just winged this video of the top of my head. I've forgot a few things actually after I posted it. I did actually solder new connectors on. Found some 4mm bullets at my local hobby store and desoldered the 3.5mm on there, went pretty smooth. Also I forgot to mention aluminum traxxas hub carrier front and rear. Figured any heat the bearings make at high speed may be dissipated. Probably wouldnt make much of a difference though.

@@rjs907 You were smarter than me.... I cut the Traxxas motor wires as they were way longer than needed.... not realizing there is a coating on the motor wires which makes resoldering/tinning the wires VERY difficult.

Nice!!! 96 is my best on 4s. @BriansRCStuff has the fastest I've found on 2s and 3s. Think we have some friendly competition brewing!! 😁

Have you tried messing with the spur size on 4s? IE 23/33, 23/31, 23/29? Also, I'm only making odd # examplese because I read somewhere that having even numbers for gearing (whether mesh or chain or w/e) isn't idea for wear. Especially if all the gears in a set or ratio are even numbered, and it's particularly bad if the ratio is an even or round-ish number like 3:1 or 4.5:1 or 2.25:1.

I've got the same wing I was printing it on my under 2 however and I had to cut it down pretty substantially. However it actually broke off before the run started Super bad luck my question is what filament do you run for the rigidity.

Good question! Didn't think to cover the details in the video. I primarily stick with inland brand from microcenter. Pla +, with an infill around 12 to 25%. The front splitter I actually joined both pieces in cura and print it as 1. So I don't have snap the pieces together, it does lead to other issues as it now prints the walls of both parts and gets a little messy. But overall I am happy with the result. I haven't printed anything with abs or nylon yet. I hear they are strong, but my printer is pretty dialed in. Plus, I should really have a fume extractor.

Clearly you totally over geared in the previous vid compared to Traxxas recommendations for the motor. Now you're just a little over geared.
I've seen others over voltage the velineon motor but at 6S you're theoretically hitting 77,700 rpm! That's what the calculations would lead you to believe but those calculations also show you should be doing 189mph . . . 🙄
Given all the work you've already done, I'm sure you've seen in Traxxas docs to generally, try to keep your motor temp below 200° F.
Clearly you've proven the aerodynamics are working without having to use lead weights. Deleting the front shocks while relying on the flexible shock towers is thinking out of the box! I will have to rethink my approach!
