I just put my XO-1 on the ground, I've had it since February, and now it's mid-June. it is still stock and such a joy to drive. I am still on the 1st battery pack I can't wait to run it again. The car put a big smile on my face I just love it!
Cool man, Hope yours runs well i've had my V1 since July last year and got it running April this year i plan to eventually make mine into a V2 someday.
Hey Mark, I have been watching your channel for many years now, Great videos that your always putting out. I was hoping to meet you at the RC show last month in Pomona CA but sadly did not make it. But maybe one day we will meet, my garage looks just like you RC Garage lol. I have been an RC enthusiast since I was 9 and been in it almost 50 years from cars and trucks to large scale boats and crawlers to even large class helis from Align to Sab Goblin's. I just picked up my first XO1 this Saturday and can't wait to unbox it and take it out for a run!!! Congrats to the continued growth of your channel and look forward to seeing more videos. Have a great day bud!!!! P.S. I am blessed to have a wife of almost 28 years now that totally understands the hobby and the addiction of building and driving these vehicles couldn't do what I do without her support......
I have original x01 and I took my factory tires and spray them with PB blaster and let and let them sit in a plastic bag to dry. once they were dry I did it again till they would dry. then when I took it out to run it, it handled so good because isoftened up the rubber. The tires Maybe not good for high-speed running anymore but for medium to low speed bashing the tires were beautiful. So most definitely tires do make a big difference. and with my TSM set to 15%. I love my x01 so much more when I did that than when I first got it. I always take the x01 and limitless out together
The X01 video, was the first Traxxas video I watched when I first started watching rc content. Super cool looking car! Someone needs to make a full size version of it! Are the chances still good of seeing you in Georgia next weekend??
If you look at the suspension geometry, they are shipping the "New" XO-1's with the upper control arms in different roll-center / Camber gain position than the gen 1 cars. they have the same shock towers and knuckles, so you can use the "New" suspension positions on the "old" car.
Does it have Anti-Braking? I also have one of the first X01's made. I probably only drove it for about 15 minutes. Never activated the 100mph. Although I did buy an Apple Player, so I could. I still have the original batteries stored in my refrigerator, but I'm betting they aren't any good. I have extra tires, body, etc that I never used. This video, has motivated me to get the car and my other RC's going again.
I just bought one of these the other day. Love it. Ever since I was a kid and watched that episode of Pete and Pete with the giant rc I wanted a big rc.
I bought an new XO1 roller years ago and planned on fixing it up but after all the videos of them disintegrating @ 75+ mph on TY (and 2wd Slash going same speed) I decided to sell off the chassis, tires and body. but I kept the drive train and put it onto a Stampede 4x4 along with aluminum shock towers and Ultimate GTR shocks. made a bombproof basher years before the Hoss came out.
I don’t use traction control, the car will go straight and drift like a real car with full control, however, there is a trick to have xo1 to be the ultimate driving machine. 1. Differential fluid. 1.5m in front and 1m rear. 2. Shock tuning. The ones came with car , don’t upgrade. 3. Sway bar for rear only. Then its a total different car especially with corvette body👍
With those stock tires expanding so much at high speeds, why didn’t they clear the side dam in the rear like they have the front. Was expecting a different car in general not a re release… Good video 👍🏾💯

I plan to convert mine into a V2 someday and maybe put a Castle MMX 8s\1717 1,650KV combo or keep the Hobbywing combo in mine also a few upgrades to help mine handle better. I also plan to get a Limitless and build it very similar someday still love your videos and i saw your limitless video and you should do a comparison run between the new XO-1 and your Limitless V2 build.
Hey Mark i saw your YT short and it's cool but i don't know how i should feel about this new release but i really love the XO-1 i bought the old version as a roller off eBay and will be building it with a Castle MMX 8s esc with Castle 1717 1650KV or a Hobby-wing Max 6 esc with Traxxas Big Block 1717 1650KV and spektrum dx5c with avc receiver. I'm hoping to get 100mph with this setup and i might do the 2022 updates to my car someday. Hope you have a good day Mark love you're videos.
Finally Now I can buy an x-01 since they’re back in stock! Great video mark although I have a question. The little changes they made the car handle so much better so I’m curious if you put the new splitter and body with the new wing of the old one would handle the same?
