    Thank you very much for this! My laptop's battery had lost much of its capacity after a couple years so I wanted to replace the battery but in the process, I kinda just got curious and wanted to explore my laptop a bit more but without breaking anything! It's still all good thanks to this! I'm an electrical engineering student (senior) but I wouldn't know much about troubleshooting a laptop's electronics xD.

    Hi, am using same version 5368. In My laptop few keywords i.e., 'A,S,D,F' and J,K,L keywords are not working. Except this every other keyword is working. Is something problem inside and can be corrected or total replacement of keyboard is required?

      You can see here how to replace the HDD/SDD: th-cam.com/video/PUmVsj85OEE/w-d-xo.html
      I dont see a dedicated SSD slot so you would have to use the SATA port like the HDD

    I have an Inspiron 13 7000 P69G. I need to remove battery, motherboard, keyboard, screen and all other boards and replace in new case (dog bit off corner but didn't damage parts). The battery has a different connector. Can you show me how to remove it without damaging the cable?

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The keyboard is whats called a 'French Inset Keyboard'. Its not held in with screws. You need to break the fasteners in order to remove the keyboard. We dont recommend doing that as the next keyboard may not be as secure. We recommend replacing the whole palmrest. But if you prefer to do just the keyboard then yes, you would need to remove the other components to access whats under them :)

      @@PC_Monkey for exemple at 10:30 of your video on the right side of the touchpad there is the (probably) keyboard and touchpad green assembler (?), I have it on my palmrest but will I be able to place it on the new one ? I saw there is no website who sells it with this green part. Thanks for your answer, I don't want to buy it without know exactly how to assembly the PC back correctly !
      Edit: Sorry, on the right side of the blank place where the touchpad is supposed to be, not where the touchpad is actually on the video lol.

      @@yoelzerbib5009 At 10:31 I see those little green boards and yes, I think those do go to the touchpad. Yes, you should be able to remove those and put on your new palmrest if the new one doesnt have them already on :) They will either be held down by screws or double sided tape. If its tape, just be careful not to break them as you pry them up

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is what is called a French Inset Keyboard. They are not designed to be replaced independent of the palmrest. They are not attached by screws but instead, by many small plastic rivets. You have to break all of those to remove the keyboard.

      @@TheSalient0ne The black protector sheet would have to be taken off. After doing that, you may see screws holding the keyboard down. If so, remove them and then the keyboard will be freed. If you dont see screws, then the keyboard is most likely whats called a 'French Inset Keyboard' and will be held down by many small plastic fasteners. You would need to break them to replace the keyboard. Please note, this is not considered a quality repair since the new keyboard will not be fastened to the keyboard unless you wish to tape it down. Its best in this case to replace the whole palmrest instead.
