I have the same Dell p69G001 laptop. I was able to change the charging port without taking the other pieces off. Once I opened the back of the laptop and unscrewed the one screw holding the port down, I popped the connector off, took out the charging port, plugged in the new one and screwed the new port back down with that one screw. I'm not sure why you took all the other components off first. It took me literally 3 minutes to complete the replacement once I opened the back of the laptop.
hello I have a dell inspiron 13 2 in 1 5378, which I have problems with the battery. I bought a new original and this came bad, so they gave me my money back and I bought another generic. When I put in this new battery, the laptop started working fine but the Bios told me that the charger was damaged. I bought one and everything was fine until suddenly the laptop shut down and when I restarted it the next day I threw a problem in the fan cooler. So when I disassembled it, I found some pieces of plastic that had the fan cooler locked, I cleaned it and apparently everything was fine. But when reconnecting the whole laptop it does not turn on anything, in fact the lighting led only lights up for a second and turns off when I connect the charger. What can be how I can repair it?

i replaced DC power Jack cable for my Dell inspiron 13 5379 and new power DC cable Universal but still no power
Universal power supplies in theory should not be able to charge the battery on the laptop, you are sure the + and - on the new cable are correct ones the ones that go from the jack into the motherboard.
@@Powerjackrepair yes the powet jack cable can only be inserted one way to the connector. I tried to push it hard so it firmly stay in
