What I love most about you Neil is how genuine you are. Even with how overwhelming all of this is for you, you still manage to acknowledge us and reply and try chat with everyone that messages you, myself included. Having some of my photos shared by you, having shared conversations and some laughs with you on messenger is extremely heartwarming. You spread so much positivity around you and that positivity reaches all over the globe, try not to ever be hard on yourself Neil, you do so much for so many people without probably realising it. There's no reason you have to apologize about not putting out frequent content. There's shit going and a lot that you're doing. Just know that people will support your efforts regardless, and just make sure you don't lose sight of your end goal.

I just love how down to earth your video's are and not "We put 1000 Horsepower in this supercar you'll never afford!" but just some friends having a fun time working on the 86. So thank you again for all the content Neil!

The ending was sweet lad, documenting your adventures is one thing but don’t rush to upload content for the sake of the algorithms, TH-cam gives a false sense of reality, stay grounded.
One of the few channels I get excited about when I see a new upload. I know motivation can really kick all our butts from time to time but just what you can & still enjoy life to the fullest.

I know that feeling! One thing I learned over the past couple of years that life and family is way more important than producing videos to keep "relevant" to the TH-cam algorithm! I basically slowed down producing videos when covid happened to spend more time on my family. And when that finally was almost over my dad died. I'm still struggling with the backlash from that and once we have sorted out his legacy I might come back to produce videos again. I do occasionally make a video whenever I can or when I need to blow off some steam, but no more regular videos from me. Same applies to the car: I simply don't have time to work on my cars and tinker with them. Seeing both of them sidelined makes me sad...
I'm happy to hear your channel brings much joy and comfort around the world! Like Sarah and Steven, you bring joy to my life and it's great distraction from my own day to day misery. And I really shouldn't complain: I'm healthy myself! Heartwarming to hear the shoutout to Steven and Sarah!

Physical and mental health issues have been rough during 2020-2021 for me, but since I've started to watch ur vids, I've gotten rid of my smoking addiction and substance abuse. thanks for showing the 86's journey across the years as well as documenting other amazing cars, and whenever i look back onto it, i can always remind of myself that the roughest of days are through and it should be smooth sailing. Regarding spreading yourself too thin, I reckon you should focus on your health for a while and don't do anything stupid if hurts others and urself.
The bit in the end made me tear up a bit.
To me, sometimes life and existence just feel like a grain of sand in a desert, a drop in the ocean, meaningless, but in reality our time on this planet is indeed precious, and examples like this put things into perspective and make you appreciate things more.
It's great to see the reach and impact your content has, it's very inspiring.
We've spoken before on instagram and you seem like a genuine person, please take care of yourself and the ones around you.

I absolutely love all your clips of the milestone moments like the one in the middle of this video. The car has working headlights for the first time in years and you took the time to pull it outside and shoot some video of it, and edited some ambient electronic music into the background. Please don't ever stop doing that and sharing it with us. You've actually inspired me to start shooting that sort of stuff for my own projects, which may see the light of day sometime or might just serve as a reminder to me of how far I've come with them all in years to come.
The lack of motivation is not unique to you, I go through weeks and sometimes months where I don't turn a nut or bolt on any of my cars. Some of those slumps are because I have the time but not the money, or the money but not the time. Quite often it's that the project can seem too big and completion is out of reach. Sometimes all it takes to rekindle that motivation is watching a video from Jiucebox, Retropower Cars, Soup Classic Motoring or any of the other couple of dozen car related channels I'm subscribed to. Definitely don't burn yourself out, but take this as one more person appreciating every upload, whether they're a week or a month apart.
Simple things are very important and enjoyable when things are hard, a few minutes of joy can change someone's week
Slowly catching up with your content. Neil never would have thought that one of your video's would bring me to tears.
Wife and I know Dom and Sarah personally. She was the most beautiful and selfless person we know. She was a true car enthusiast and not a day goes by and we don't think about her.
Content creation can be tough but we love watching your content and if your ever in Sydney there would be plenty of people who would want to meet you.

Every single time a video popped for the past 4 years its always been such a pleasure to watch and it motivates me to move my ass on my own cars, so again thank you and keep on keepin on !
Just wanted to make a short comment- You guys are literally my absolute favorite channel. If you ever need a break, please take one. I'll always be around to watch, I always stay up to date on instagram, or whenever I have time to read the website. JDMDistro is also great to watch, it's just stress relief. No BS, no big stakes, no drama, just a bunch of mates having a laugh. That stuff is so much different than the overwhelming majority of media here in the states. You have something special with this channel and your circle in the automotive world. The only other comparable channel/personality is Alexi (Noriyaro) to me. I still would rather watch you guys though. Take care Neil, and thanks for all the wonderful videos over the years. I've posted in the comments on multiple videos, on different accounts I've had over the years and had you reply and heart a lot of those comments. I've personally been here since EP. 2 of "The Vlogs", and you guys were my introduction to car TH-cam. That's a hell of a way to start, and I haven't found anything else that's better yet. I always tell people to pick your pace and adjust accordingly. Everyone has a sweet spot on what they can publish, no matter the media! And it's wild how small the world gets when people find a common mindset. I love almost all car builds, especially older cars, so nearly everyone I speak to that's into cars is like "cousin!!" haha
And it sucks how short so many people's time is on the planet, so all we can do is our best to have the chats and try to balance our time between making each other laugh and look forward to the next day.
I have a rust bucket ae86 trueno coupe that I could only hope undergoes the same restoration one day !

Neil I started watching at the end of high school, when the 86 first few videos came out. I'm now in my final year at university and I get genuinely GLEEFUL when I see a juice new box video pop up. You, Rueuben, Barry and the rest of the lads have bought so many smiles to face. I'm 20 now so you guys have been a massive part of my life for 1/4 of my whole life so far, you guys are the people who really enabled my love for cars, which completely facilitated my career choice I am currently choosing and an going to be happy with, I couldn't be more thankful to you for putting these out. Like everyone else says, don't burn yourself out man, I always did wonder how you could ever have the time and money and willpower to do what you do, I think I speak for all of us here when I say I'm just excited to see this thing built, I don't care how long you take between uploads, I just am always happy as fuck to see it when you do :)

Your videos are always the highlight of a day. I'm going through rather stressful times myself right now so I can personally say that having this little concentrated dose of peace and stupid fun can do wonders when times are rough and you just need a bit of a timeout from things but please do look after yourself aswell, we love your videos but we also want you to do them because you want to not because you feel like you owe us anything or something like that. I personally usually do not keep track of the releases but rather see it as a happy little random occurance when a video happens to pop up in my feed that makes the day just that bit better :) Keep doing what makes you happy lad, I for my part will love the videos regardless.

Neil, i personally don't know where to start, but i just want to say you're one of the most amazing people i ever had the pleasure to see, you're one of if not my most favorite, i wouldn't say content creator but one of my most favorite people in the planet, you're really someone who has been carrying my love for cars that i've been growing since i was 4 years old, and following your content since the start has been an absolute blessing, i first watched you when i was halfway through middle school, now i am in the first year of high school and dreaming ever closer to my first car, which hopefully if everything goes as i plan, maybe an eg civic would do the case even if it's very unlikely lol, but truth be told, don't burn yourself out with posting frequent content, i personally like whenever there's a long margin since it makes your content ever so more special, and it's always a pleasure to see a bunch of idiots having fun with their passions like i do lol, jokes aside, you're an absolute legend lad and i hope someday to meet you, even if it's very unlikely, thank you for putting so much effort like you always do, and rest whenever you need, since sometimes we need to rest so we can push forward, love you mate, seeya
