Me: hell yeah there were a lot of reveals with flames toys, can’t wait for Bobby to go over them. *this Saturday is a figure comparison* Tyridium hanger: you could not live without a weekly figure update news, where’d that bring you? Back to me.
Al C I can’t do a video before the reveals and I have a family, so I won’t be waiting around on saturdays for info and making videos when I can be out with them.
Bobby Skullface pfffff yes you can you just gotta be in front of the computer constantly hitting the refresh button on new figures coming out. I’m kidding, just joking. Also the original comment was supposed to come across as more sarcastic/humorous so sorry about that.
Thanks for this comparison. What you’ve done here is of great service to the collector community. As much as I like and enjoy toys from Magic Square, it appears from most of the online criticism that New Age have won the legends Seeker war. Of course the real verdict will come down with whomever gets KOed by MechFansToys. They will side with what is best commercially. If I had the dough, I think I would still go with Magic Square because I am more “invested” into their line/scale at the moment.
When you send them back to Brooklyn, replace them the MFT oversized KO's, add some uncooked pasta, and smother them in gravy (tomato sauce for you non-Italians).
Thank you!!!!!! This was crazy well done, touching all the details and aspects of the figures! I really want Newage, but the price made me reconsider. But now your video convinced me otherwise!!!
Magic square are fine if the seekers aren’t a big deal to you and you just wanna have a set. Newage is more for those who love the seekers and want the best version of them for shelf. Btw the Newage look great paired with magic square figures too so not a biggie
Now I'm 100% a DX9 NA fan, but just looking at them in prototype phase I knew which ones I wanted. Now I regards to price, I think had New Age skipped out on the display base/space bridge addition they'd be cheaper than the MS set, that being said I enjoy the inclusion. My only gripe is that I have to buy 10 seekers worth to get a full space bridge and the Ghost Staracream to get the coronation set. Ms give you more of a complete product where NA makes you need to buy more. And unless your Deluxe Baldwin most people don't need every Seeker in their collection.
They've really grown on me. If only their tolerances were better. The one that I agree with BSF is the sculpt, paint, and engineering is better on Lucifer.
The majority of my Legends figures are Iron Factory so I have no real preference between the few Magic Square and New Age figures that I have. That said, I have never been as impressed with a Legends size figure as I was in taking New Age's Lucifer/Starscream out of the package and playing around with it, never thought I'd see die cast in this size of figure. As someone who isn't a stickler for scale as long as it's generally close, it's a no brainer for me anyway.
Actually looking at the scale book the NA seekers scale better with MS Prime/ NA Megatron better. The MS seekers are actually a little to big with the seekers head & eye level above the chest. There more the size of what Soundwave or Shockwave would be. The seekers are slightly smaller than those two. Whats weird is that the new MS Soundwave looks like it will be bigger than their Prime and NA Megatron. WTH!
I agreed with almost every thing you said but I can't understand why you think the MS are better scaled?!!! According to the scale chart we are all following (at least I believe we are all following the same chart) the seekers head should go as high as Megatron's chest and the NA ones are perfect when compared to NA Megatron which is the same high as MS Optimus so... according to the scale chart NA are on the money and MS are too high for both NA Megatron and MS Optimus. There may be something I'm missing or maybe we are following a different scale chart but I went to look at some Transformers episodes and what I saw confirmed what I'm saying. Thanks for the comparison Mr. Skullface these things help deciding which to choose.
My only Seeker is Iron Factory’s Sunstorm because I loved his portrayal in the Dreamwave comics. But, New Age’s Purple seeker looks really nice, as does their Sunstorm. I’m just not entirely sure I want to spend a hundred dollars on those two, though. However, if NA put out a seeker inspired by that realistic camo MP Starscream done by Shoji Kawamori, that would be a must have for me.
They(Newage) generally do not. But lately it seems Newage is trying to scale with other lines. Megatron NA scales great with MS Prime. And the Seekers are in between. I'm not sure what they're up to. But at least they're alt modes don't look ridiculous comparitively when next to each other. Looks more realistic.
Get the MS seekers, they are awesome and not nearly as bad as some of these reviewers tell us. It's all the simple matter of tabbing the parts that need to be tabbed, like the chest pieces. To me, MS seekers look way more g1 cartoon accurate, than NA seekers, which look like small teen like figures.
@@benroska8630 no problem, just wanted to explain MS seekers are very nice and are correct scale for other MS figures. In the end, go for the figures you like the most.
How can you not even mention the totally crap incomplete wings on the NA seekers? The back half of the wing is missing and throws the proportions of the alt mode all out of whack. MS alt mode outshines the NA easily.
B-b-but!!!! Have you actually seen/manipulated/played with one of these Newage/MS figures? They aren't your $15 Hasbro legends lol I was quite blown away. Plus, they don't take as much room on your shelf/display case! I'd still suggest you get ONE and then see what you think.
Another interesting comparison, thank you!

Great comparison vid! The New Age one is gonna be my Starscream, since the Iron Factory one's late-tax is more like a late-audit.
I think late highway robbery is more appropriate.

Seriously I prefer the Magic Age over the New Square.

I like both MS and NA and some FT stuff the legends scale figures are awesome can't miss with either brand imo.
I find it weird that you prefer knees to be a third of the way along the leg instead of the middle. I think it makes most poses look wrong.
Great comparison. NewAge slaughtered MS this round but maybe MS will win some rounds with Reflector and their upcoming Megatron.
I'd be surprised. Newage Megatron is one of the greatest figures I've ever owned. Legit mini MP.
Love all the VS. videos...but lmao at the fact that you finally put FAM PRICE BRO on a hoodie..and I want one lol
I mostly prefer Newage stuff.
Also who's screaming at around 8:08 ?

Newage are the new rulers of Legends class.
Kinda glad I don't collect Legends figures... but I do kinda want one of those Thundercrackers just because I like the character.

That's... particular.
I personally think MS and NA scale together well for the most part, especially since NA Megatron and MS Optimus are the same height.
Jonathan Brown they don’t. I did a whole sit down Saturday video breaking down and proving how they don’t. Give it a watch when you get a chance

who is screaming in the background?
HI how is it going! May I ask u whether magic square gets the copyright of hasbro? is selling magic square on amazon legal?
Definitely NewAge
How do you only have 22600 subscribers?
So I have the magic square megatron and sound wave. Do I get new age or magic square seekers.

100% as always!
How tall is new age
I'm hoping that either Newage or Magic Square makes a Rodimus Prime or Hot Rod figure.
How can you not even mention the totally crap incomplete wings on the NA seekers? The back half of the wing is missing and throws the proportions of the alt mode all out of whack. MS alt mode outshines the NA easily.
