To be fair, there was a concept for a STOL F-15 variant that had square burner cans that would rotate down when taking off which could explain their addition here seeing as it was first going to be applied to NASA’s STOL Eagle demonstrator, although they selected an alternative method which appears to be a more traditional Eagle burner can, and NASA’s STOL Eagle demonstrator has a very... applicable-to-transformers livery. The forward fuselage of the airplane does appear closer to an F-14 over the Eagle but seeing as they’re similar airplanes with similar missions, they share some features so it’s easy to overlook that. That being said, with the G2 Sandstorm they just released that has the delta wing, it’s super easy to see the similarities to the Tomcat.

@@russellharrell2747 it depends quite a bit. Of you give Prime as big as possible for his alt mode (length+height for Freightliner Argosy should be 11M tall), and have starscream transform into a smaller jet (F35) and transform so that way he is 2/3 the length he is in altmode, you could get them relatively close in height.
I guess my big gripe about the Earthrise seekers is the transformation itself. I don't really like having to swivel the cockpit around and flip the nosecone down, but for the price, it's something I can live with. I guess my personal favorite is MP-11, because its transformation is pretty reminiscent of G1 Starscream.
My 2 x biggest gripe about this figure is that they could have made the front intakes foldable to face forward in Jet mode and that the back of the wings should have been attached above the ankle in bot mode. It would have made the whole jet and bot mode more aesthetically more convincing (much like the first 2 MP seeker modes)... What a missed opportunity.

I agree that the robot mode of siege seekers is superior in articulation, but thats about it. In proportions, accessories, transformation, and vehicle mode Earthrise smashes it. Also the ER wings are much better in both modes. Don't get me wrong I like Siege seekers quite a bit and I'm disappointed as anyone we didn't get that level of posebality from ER.

That middle section reminded me of when I got Studio Series Offroad Bumblebee. I happened to be working on a model kit for a 1/35 scale Vietnam era Jeep and I placed them next to eachother. they were almost the exact same size! Bumblebee was a near perfect 1/35! I had a blast placing him with my other 1/35 models. it was so damn satisfying!
This is seriously the coolest review I've seen in a long while. Yes, it's excruciatingly long and many probably don't give much about such an extensive and ridiculously thorough opinion on plastic figures, but I loved it haha. It's so scientific and hyper accurate lol. I didn't even know about HO scale before and seeing you actually measuring the wingspan like that was incredibly entertaining ^^
Your painting skills have gotten much better. I'm glad you got you HO scale jets. I can see how pleased you are with this. In December, I had the opportunity to buy Earthrise Starscream at Walmart, but I already have Siege Starscream who I think poses way better. So I didn't pull the trigger. And Starscream is my favorite character! I likewise felt that Hasbro could have taken the engineering further.
That stop motion at the start was amazing😂 I loved how that is probably how it would have gone backstage in the 86 movie if it really was the characters acting
I forgot how big an F15 was. Holy mother, God. Cliff jumper is just a tiny little robot compared to star scream. Star scream. would just laugh at Optimus and just crush him like an ant.
I know I’m two years late, but the F-15 did have a special variant that had rectangular thrust vectoring engines. The F-15 stol/mtd, sometimes called the Nf-15b or F-15 Active, was a test bed plane used by Nasa. It also has several other design quirks, such as it’s forward canards, 2 seater cockpit, and it’s unique paint scheme. I’m honestly kind of shocked it’s never been touched by transformers given how easy of a redeco it would be. It would make a good fit for Shattered Glass Screamer.
I loved that intro. Your stopmotion skills are very impressive. I love to watch the videos because these intros make just want to watch as much as possible.

that's the punchline alright haha
@@TheLazyEyebrow lol I wrote the comment before seeing the next scene where Megatron gives him credit.
Love your work @TheLazyEyebrow your commentary, stop motion, and voice acting are all Chef’s Kiss. A True Delight.
16:16 Curse you Hasbro!
Best starscream impersonation ever. Sounds just like him.
I really just can’t bring myself to like the robot mode on these, something is just off about it to me. Like the torso is so boxy and the waist is a little too wide for me. Also thanks to the crotch plate, the thighs seem to sit too far in.
Lol, the armatrix ad is funny to me because I'm watching this just as I got back from selling my TR Bumblebee and Hot Rod
I still prefer my siege version!!!
Yoooo its screamer!!
AHHHH YOU YELLOW PLANET COWARD
@@bumblbeeb-1273 ITS SCREAMER
Earth stile Starscream? This is bad comedy
Love the comic reference with thundercracker being a screenwriter. Nice little easter egg
Hey lazy. How about sign me up as a guest star on on of these reviews huh? And Btw AWESOME
Whoever you got for that optimus voice is amazing, I almost thought it was Peter Cullen
I remember back when you said you wouldn’t gripe on the scale of mainline figures
You clearly forgot
Who's griping?
hes pointing it out, not attacking the product for it.
@@burningpotato9447 my point is he’s dedicating a decent percentage of the video to it instead of just mentioning it
@@andrewmichael9201 it's really cool that it actually scales with something, that we get to take a glimpse into what a world without mass shifting would be, in no way am I complaining that transformers as a brand isn't what I discussed in the ho section
@@andrewmichael9201 there's a difference between complaining and complimenting in fact I'd say they're opposites
I love the story animations at the beginning of every video. It really sets your channel apart from all the other Transformer reviewers.
"slavish adherence to a really cheaply made show has to take full priority over any artistic liberty as usual"
Armatrix is cool but their selection is pretty low
Gotta give credit for voice over work on top of his stop-motion… and the humour, ❤️‼️
AND he goes above and beyond for researching real world specs/info… much appreciated for sure!
Not to lie your Stop motion skits are very fun to watcg
I didn't even know about HO scale before and seeing you actually measuring the wingspan like that was incredibly entertaining ^^
that was the best integration of a sponsorship into a video I have ever seen!
Lmao, the entry skits get me everytime. Keep up the good work Lazy Eyebrow!
Hey Lazy Eyebrow can I ask how you removed the Skywarp and Starscream head I’m having a hard time doing that?
Your painting skills have gotten much better.
I'm glad you got you HO scale jets. I can see how pleased you are with this.
In December, I had the opportunity to buy Earthrise Starscream at Walmart, but I already have Siege Starscream who I think poses way better. So I didn't pull the trigger. And Starscream is my favorite character! I likewise felt that Hasbro could have taken the engineering further.
yeah I really should get on with reviewing the siege figures. they're so unexpectedly great
Great review. And your Optimus voice sounds more legit that whoever Rooster Teeth cast for the Netflix shows.
not mine, check the description or the pinned comment haha
The stop motion aspect of this review is hilarious in a good way.
I still like the figures even if it has faults it's cool to have a g1 seeker team
18:46 Thank you Lazy Eyebrow telling me about that part it helped me a lot for my Earthrise Starscream.
I don't know how Earthrise/Kingdom Optimus Prime could be so good, and many other figures in the same line could just fall short of greatness.
I love the skits in these reviews so much
I know I’m two years late, but the F-15 did have a special variant that had rectangular thrust vectoring engines.
Things I expected from this video:
They’re great figures
Things I got from this video:
The above, and that F-15s are bigger than I expected
"Faceplateless Optimus when, Hasbro?"
*Shows bayformers Optimus*
NO GO BACK!!!
I loved that intro. Your stopmotion skills are very impressive. I love to watch the videos because these intros make just want to watch as much as possible.
