In his opening remarks, Mr. Ken Poonoosamy, CEO of the Economic Development Board underlined that as our ecosystems become increasingly digital, technology continues to accelerate the pace of change in the way we operate, at all levels including government, business, or civil society. He added that digitalization allows the implementation of more efficient and more productive practices and processes and offers new opportunities specially in Africa and its banking sector.

I'm very glad for Mauritius. I visited Mauritius before the Pandemic and as a SocioEconomist I observed the situation there. I was totally amazed.
There not many such good driven countries on this planet.
Especial not in this region.
I see an even brighter future in the upcomming decades.
Having visited the island in 2001, 2006, 2007 and April 2024, it is astounding the changes made….education being key here…..my wife is half Mauritian, it might yet become our final home….what’s not to like, I wonder when the health side of things will become number one in the region….chapeaux to Mauritius, a country that appears to have a very bright future…..oh and your roads are way better than my island of Jersey……and everything else as well…..
What a wonderful story of Mauritius. Hope one day Mauritius becomes an economic powerhouse of Africa. Love from India🇮🇳
Okay but when will the metro express finally be extended till the airport and eventually also towrds Cap Malheureux in the north?
Also, in the city centre anorher shorter line ( like 6-7 km) should be built, more or less parallel to the first line, so as to serve other areas of the city cente too
