- When Thirty Days started, Billy Corgan set out on a mission of rediscovering small town America. On Day Sixteen, he explored two different towns with different histories. And it was in Laredo, TX that Billy found out the power of his fans and social media.

If I were that close and experiencing an intimate performance from Billy, the last thing I would do is pull out my phone and watch it through there. No photo or video can recreate the magic of that memory, setting, and experience.
DamnitBoy I thought the same thing. They should have stayed home and continued to watch it through their phone there.
Gary Jones I agree. I do take part of what I said back though. A photo or so is fine for sharing, but when Billy is playing literally in front of them and they're viewing it looking down at their phones while recording, I take issue with that.
I was thinking the same thing.
Literally only one guy there who wasn't gawping through their phone and was actually taking in the moment one-to-one. It's a really weird world we've created.
I hate that at shows, years ago no one had phones to record from, we used our memory to savor the moment.
Dude in car: "Billy what did it mean when you said that thing from Ave Adore?"

I had to hide my tears on the train when he played 1979, to be there in his presence is one thing, and I know how much he hates playing music from his past. What a beautiful moment I won't be able to capture again.

Being awake opens you to so many feelings and connections. I have been awake most of my life and get those feelings you felt at the hanging tree quite often. Your hair on your body standing on end, emotions that you feel that you cannot explain, sometimes it is shadows and sometimes it is actual sounds. It only confirms to me that we are all connected. I came across Billy's adventure because I really enjoy Adamthewoo's Channel. Awesome music, I hear the soul coming through. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and your travels.

I don't blame him for basically hanging up on that guy at the beginning.
Yeah, it's pretty amazing and surreal when you get to speak on the phone to a legendary singer who's music you practically grew up on...but you _don't_ say stupid shit like "Oh I can't believe I'm talking to you!" or especially "Oh man, I'm freaking out right now!!"
You're instantly putting yourself into a category that celebrities not only dislike, but have seen/heard practically every day of their celebratory life.
I know if I was as famous as him I wouldn't wanna bother with that shit either.
I think most people that have become famous have a hard time to some degree of dealing with fame. It goes to your head. I couldn't imagine people freaking out when they see me or professing their love for me-without really knowing me. That has to be hard. People can be scary with that too. I do not at all blame any celebrity that wants to be left alone and eat a nice meal somewhere getting upset that they are interrupted by fans, paparazzi, etc. I can see that after years of being out of the limelight, it is somewhat of a reset button as your presence wains. I'm sure it's nice to have a decent conversation that is not about your craft at times too. The song "Limelight" by Rush comes to mind with all of this.

I am fighting the tears watching this if I lived anywhere. He would come and saw him I would be a wreck couldn't contain my tears doesn't help that Billy looks just like my late ex husband who dies in June 2019
I love this spontaneous, relaxed concept of him just traveling around talking to every day people without a real plan - the only thing that gets me is the way EVERYBODY gets out their phones and starts recording him like he’s some kind of freak show. Fortunately Billy’s used to it, but man. The whole idea here is that this ISN’T a press event or a show. Can’t people just relax and enjoy the experience? I mean he’s got his own cameraman, so you’re going to be in the video anyway.. Jesus.
