Love this song! I first heard this song on a recording of Peter & Gordon on the Hullabaloo show. My guy at the time, had recordings of all sorts of weird obscure musicians and shows dated back to the 60's. Good stuff, good times!

in 2009 I moved to where Billy drives at 12:37 - Barstow to work at Fort Irwin during the recession. Messed up town. Lived through the Barstow Water Crisis. I'm from Chicago originally, and I basically stayed in my apartment doing freelance design back in Chicago from Barstow!. Now I'm back and went to the SP concert back in August. I remember crossing that bridge to get to work everyday. :)

Your music is moving, allow oneself to be moved, a shift a breakthrough, I’m impressed at you, never giving up, allowing a new tune, solo a movement, a sea to carry your boat, your vessel to speak on and through and with the wind, the mountains and trees. Oatman, AZ, named for Olive, part of a pioneer family bushwhacked by Yavapai Apache, then Olive was sold to Mojave tribe along the Colorado River. Her younger sister didn't adjust to tribal life, wasted away. Over time, some white bounty hunters offered the Mojave some money for Olive, she then went back to white society, with her traditional Aha Macav female chin tattoo. Oatman, AZ is her footnote in history.
