Thanks for your question. Actually, MCCQE1 is similar to USMLE Step 2 CK rather than step 1. USMLE step1 is quite different from Q1 as it deals with basic subjects of Medical science with Clinical correlation.

Getting into medical profession is tough in western world, for that we need determination and passion. It is not necessary to stay in Canada while preparing. MCC is conducting MCCQE1 in almost 80 countries.

Hi, Toronto Notes is a great resource, however, a complex book as well. I went through the family medicine just once. I would say, you can take help from a good Q bank and compare it from TN. Then you will be able to understand what to study from TN. Hope it helps.

Toronto Notes is considered as one of the good resources. But this is a huge book and not interesting, besides too many topics that are not necessary for the exam. I had little time for that. I went through the Ethics, population health and family Medicine portion of it.

USMLE Step 2 Kaplan videos are good, I do not know any particular recorded videos for QE1.

I would suggest MTB2 or 3, TN that I followed only Family Medicine and ethics. First Aid for Step 2 CK is also helpful. Thank you.
