    Thank you doctor for these great videos on info regarding USA and Canada. These days if want to find something regarding img pathway i just come to your channel and search, the answer will be there mostly. Myself, a general surgeon form India, trying to get into USA or CANADA, passed USMLE step 1,2,3,OET medicine , ECFMG certified. I have a few doubts .
    1. Does any of the above equivalent to anything in the pathway to canada?
    2. India is not recognised by wfme for 2024 onwards. still in the application state. Does that mean I am not allowed to write mccqe1 exam in 2024 onwards?
    Thank you for your attention

    Please do programs look at medical school transcript I dknt have any distinction in medical school I just have credits

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  ปีที่แล้ว

      Transcripts do play a role in the evaluation process, but from our experience, not having distinctions should not be a cause for undue concern in isolation. Residency programs take a comprehensive approach, considering the complete package of an applicant, including clinical experience, research background, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and more. It's the combination of these elements that paints a holistic picture of the candidate, and each aspect contributes to the overall evaluation. So, while distinctions can be beneficial, remember that a strong and well-rounded application can make a significant impact on your candidacy.

    If I write the French version of the MCCQE1 (I studied Medicine in French) does that make me eligible to apply for residency even in the english speaking parts of Canada with same chances as other IMGs who wrote it in english?

    • @IMGSecrets

      An english proficiency is a must to get into residency. If you are good at French, then you may be better off focusing on Quebec.

    Hello Sir, intrinsically I really appreciate the work you are doing. I am a final year medical student in India and wants to move to Canada as a doctor. I am aware of MCCQE-1 and other exams required for registration but what is bothering me is the Canadian PR. You talk about how one can enter Canada in a fellowship program after completing residency in their own country and then get a PR eventually but what about fresh medical graduates who wants to do residency in Canada itself. Is there a option to move as skilled worker for mbbs graduates and then get PR as a skilled worker!? If yes, then what kind of skill work can they apply for from there home country to get a work visa initially!?! I will be grateful if you respond, thank you!!

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. This is a great question. As a new graduate, the options are limited to finding a position in research or any assistant roles. Of course, it is competitive and success depends on many factors. The key is to make sure it satisfies the skilled worker's requirements.

    • @uveshaanthana734
      @uveshaanthana734 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would suggest you to take a 2 year healtcare administration programme wich secures your PR. If canada is the only country you wnna go. It will give you 3 year work permit. Plus field job in health admin after your course is complete. Do job for maybe a year.and then apply for residency after you get pr. you can give the exams without the PR. Pr is a requirement for recidency. Thats the only way for a new graduate. I am hoping to go on the same path.

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uveshaanthana734 Definitely one of the options. Your plan is good assuming all the steps work as planned.
      The first step is straightforward as you are paying for it. It is important for you to make sure you actually do get a job after your training. This is one area where people struggle with - finding a job! Make sure to have it well planned ahead of time. Wish you the best.

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uveshaanthana734 Your chances may go up because of Canadian Master's but it is still competitive. Just completing the course does not mean a job of your liking is guaranteed! Depends on supply/demand when you are applying - may get lucky sometimes!

      If you have connections, one possible route to begin your journey is by securing a position as a fellow or consultant in Canada. This initial step can help you establish a professional network and gain firsthand experience within the Canadian healthcare system. Once you have a foothold in Canada, you can proceed with the subsequent steps required for pursuing your medical career, such as fulfilling licensing requirements, completing evaluations, etc. It's important to leverage your connections and seek guidance from professionals to navigate the process effectively.

      @@user-it9lq3sj2d Based on your level of expertise, I would not advise pursuing the exam path. However, if you're determined to redo your residency, you could consider taking the MCCQE1 and NAC exams. If you choose this path and successfully secure a residency position, you will eventually obtain a license upon completion.
      It's important to note that requirements for work experience and other factors vary on an individual basis.

      @@user-it9lq3sj2d If you're aiming for residency or PG training, it involves taking the MCCQE1 and NAC exams, followed by applying for PG training, completing the PG training, and obtaining a license. The duration will vary depending on the time required for exams plus an additional 5 years for anesthesia PG in Canada.
      However, considering your experience, I recommend exploring alternative options based on your training background, academic qualifications, etc. While it's not guaranteed, it's worth investigating.
