    nice ideas here, I've always been tempted to expand the DT with an additional controller, however for me it just defeats the purpose of having this wonderful form factor as well as the fact that the DT is actually the controller for my other bits of gear. One controller that grabbed my attention is the faderfox UC4, mostly for its ultra-compact size.. price is steep though - 250 eur. Have you looked into those? Nice channel btw, already a subscriber;)

    Hey dude, I’m vibing a MIDI pad for a Digitakt, tho do u think I should still grab this 226 or go for something like the mpc one? Have u tried the new ones.. only saying because they’re new and wondering if there’s more capabilities..

    • @RecycledRhythms
      @RecycledRhythms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that depends on what your needs are, the mpd226 is just a midi controller while the mpc one is a fully capable sampler so its tough to compare the two

      and yes I have tried to mpc live/one. The operating system feels too much like a daw for me to want to use it over ableton

    Hi I subscribed and liked. Enjoy your video. Can the same be done with the Akai Studio Black that you did with the MPD226? Do you know if the pads are the same on the Studio as that on the 226?

    HI, just downloaded your template and seems to work more or less, i'm sure i'm doing something wrong but i can only trigger notes on channel 1-8 and not able to record these midi events, also the control part of it does not seem to work, nothing happens on the DT.
    What settings do you have to change on the DT for this to work?

  • @peterbode3005

    I see that you use the transport controls on the DT. Is it not possible to use the transport controls of the MPD226?

    Great work! I have the MPD226 learning how to use it still. There are no videos of how to upload samples to it.
    Can you do a video on how to upload samples from other music or from another source like a recording?

    • @RecycledRhythms
      @RecycledRhythms  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!
      Unfortunately the MPD226 is not a sampler it is just a controller. You cannot "upload samples to it". All of the sounds in this video are coming from the Digitakt, im just using the MPD as a controller.

    How would you control channels 1-8 audio tracks on the digitakt, using the MPD226? I've loaded your digitakt preset, but it only plays first 3 as kick hat snare, and the 4th as a chromatic, what would I alter to make the first 8 pads 1-8 audio as drums and sample (sans chromatic pitch playback) corresponding to the DT 1-8? thanks so much!

    • @RecycledRhythms
      @RecycledRhythms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I go over the assignments of the pad banks at 1:35, in pad bank A the bottom 8 pads correspond to audio tracks 1-8. Based on your comment it sounds like you aren't in pad bank A. What you're describing sounds like pad banks B and C

  • @drumatic
    @drumatic 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you tried the MPD226 with the Analog Rytm MK2? I am still interested in grabbing one, but the 12 pads look cheap... would want to be able to utilize the MPD226 with it-if possible. Thanks!

    • @RecycledRhythms
      @RecycledRhythms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not too keen on the rytm myself so I dont have any experience with implementing this type of setup however it is basic midi routing so I would assume it would function similarly.
