    Hey man, I'm having some trouble. I followed to the T and got the same error message so I followed where you said to change to a different preset and then go back to see if it changed but it never did. It's still Twist 2. You know what might be the issue? This Machine def lacks helpful tips so thank you for sharing this. You doing everybody a big favor my man

      Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to help in this case. It's been a minute since I've done it. Hoping the community can chime in.

      Also, did you rename the preset in the software?

    Can I connect AKAI MPK 3 and the MPD226 to play alternatively on mpc beats ??? Meaning: playing keyboard on MKP 3 and drums on MPD226 ???

    i followed your instructions completely. I got as far as getting the E- minor setup to download into my hardware but still no sound is coming out. I am not sure how to get sound out of my device. The tap tempo button makes noise so I dont believe its the device itself but still unsure if you are using speakers in the midi in and midi out slots in the back to create sound or if it just should play on its own?

      I used my controller with a DAW (Logic Pro). You won't get any sound directly out of this unit as it only serves to control the device that it is hooked up to (as a MIDI controller). In my case, I ran USB out to my Mac. Logic was the target. The sound was coming from some type of VST (virtual synth) housed in Logic. Once it's hooked up, if it is not making sound, you may need to check the MIDI source channel. It is possible that the channel that is being broadcast by the controller is not matching the input channel on the sound housed in the DAW. For information on this you could search how to set midi channels from MPD226. Then a second search for how to set MIDI input on track in whatever software you are using. Hope this helped.

      Word. Check out eBay and Reverb.com if you don't need a new one, you can save a little cash on a used one.

    Is this stored on the device? I want to remap (change the notes/midisignals) and use it to trigger drums on an external midi device
    Or
    On smaller keyboards you can press the transposebutton to trigger more octaves. Can you do the same with a bank button on this mpc? I want to be able to trigger all notes/drums

    Hey man, might be total stupid noob question but.. what all do i need to be able to make sample beat music?. Do i just buy the mpd226 and hook it to my mac and download free editor software and then be set to go, or are there additional items, software or hardware i need before i can get started?

    do these pads also suffer from the double triggering like the mpd218?

    • @BahrCreative
      @BahrCreative  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't really notice that with mine, but I didn't use it that often either. I have since sold it for a Maschine Mikro. The Mikro feels and plays great, but isn't as versatile of a midi controller outside of the Maschine environment. Inside the Maschine software it is super integrated, but having played the Maschine MkII, I would opt for the bigger controller as you have more direct control instead of combined button presses for simple functions.

      ok thx for your feedback. I bought a mpd218 but returned it because of the double triggering. I was thinking bying a maschine mk3 but the price's holding me back at the moment

    • @BahrCreative
      @BahrCreative  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it's pricey. I've thought the same, seems like there's better things that $600 could buy.

    • @pitecomusic
      @pitecomusic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bahr Creative indeed but beside the mpd series of akai there's nothing much else on the market. It's that or maschine

    • @BahrCreative
      @BahrCreative  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you can get an MPD 226 pretty cheap on eBay and Reverb.com. You could buy one for around $120, try it and if you hate it, sell it for $120. But I agree, not much in the way of good pads out there.

    Ok...wtf is logic and how do i download it.

    • @BahrCreative
      @BahrCreative  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Logic is a DAW (music production software like Abelton, FL Studio, or Pro Tools. It costs $200 through the app store is is only available for Apple machines. It is likely that a similar plug in exists in other DAW applications.
