I don’t really know anything about the Acura MDX but one thing to consider is, the 2014 Nissan pathfinder are known for transmission issues. My pathfinder’s transmission has been rebuilt before I purchased it. Since the rebuild I haven’t had a problem. Wish I could give you more help, but that’s all I’ve got. I hope which ever car you choose works out well for you.
I have a 2017 Pathfinder. Nope it doesn’t do 0 to 60 mph in 8 seconds, it has a CVT transmission it does zero to 60 MPH in 🐪 seconds, I got flipped by grandma at the stop light for being too slow
You actually have a little more horse power and a 7.4 0-60. A few reasons why it might be or feel slow. (1) It has been broken in yet. Once you get past the 10,000 mile mark, you suppose to drive a bit more aggressively. (Not sure how true this is, since my cousin told me this. lol) (2) they’re might be something wrong with the car. Even if there’s not a check engine light, things can, and usually do go wrong. You might wanna check it out. (3) everything is working as it should, it just feels slow. The reason for this, is because you’re in a big suv that has a somewhat smooth ride. Many times I find myself above the speed limit, because I don’t feel the speed of the car. I’m not a mechanic, and probably don’t know what I’m talking about. But this is just a few things to consider. Also, that grandma is crazy! 😂

I have an option to pick a 2014 Pathfinder or 2012 Accura MDX. They are both in Africa where roads aren't great. What is your recommendation?
