Pathfinder used to have loads of head and leg room at least in the second row. Even that has shrunk. The car itself has visibly shrunk. R.I.P Pathfinder. This is more like Ant finder.

Dave, how do you feel about the CVT engine? I've been reading a bunch of negative reviews regard performance and shuddering while drive. Have you experienced this while driving the car? Currently have an 04 pathfinder and considering a 2014 pathfinder or a Honda Pilot - what do you think. Thanks
Hi Dave, when you test drove the Pathfinder, did you experience any shuddering? I'm considering the pathfinder but have seen a lot of commentary on transmission issues. Just curious if you have any insight. Thanks and keep up the good reviews.
I own a 2013 (SL w/ Premium Package) which had the shuddering issue. It required a new transmission at 6K miles. But Nissan and dealer handled this situation with excellence. No issues since new transmission, and I 'd still highly recommend the Pathfinder at the price. Great value as comparable mdx or infiniti would of be 12k more.

Nissan has turned the Pathfinder into another Mommy-mobile. With only 6 in. of ground clearance, the only paths that thing will traveling are the paved roads to the nearest shopping mall. Even the Mazda CX-5 has more ground clearance!
Pathfinder has lost it's soul and deviated from Land Cruiser or Shogun type offroader to Land Rover type offroaders.

I have a 2015 Rogue, 2011 Murano and 2013 Pathfinder and have had 2 altimas in the past. I love nissans as ive never had any issues in my experience with them. but my favorite is the Murano for its sporty yet luxurious character but i really like em all

Based on the charts, the Pathfinder has more 2nd row legroom than the Pilot or Highlander. Just some food for thought
actually if u dont have panoramic sunroof u get 2 inches more space in the ceiling
I've got one and he hit it on the mark with this review, maybe except on the fuel rating. I got maybe 17mpg with mixed driving in the winter.

Damn we need some more body on frame vehicles. Not everybody wants a cross over or a an suv build off of a car platform. Where are all the rugged looking vehicles at? Everything is either small, too technology packed or turbo charged smh.
Crossover = higher profits. Just dress up a car with larger wheels and extend the rear window and voila, it's a wagon, er crossover. And they can charge much more for it over just a basic car.
And it's fuel efficient! Yay! Our governments blame YOU for high gas prices and keep demanding more fuel efficiency. So the way to cheat is to ditch the truck and push people to wagons, away from ruggedness.
But yes, we need more truck frame vehicles. But the problem with that now is that if you want a truck SUV, you have to step up to something larger like a Nissan Armada or Toyota Sequoia. There isn't that smaller truck based SUV anymore. And that's sad. That's what the Murano was for. Now the Pathfinder is the new Murano.

I bought a 2013 Pathfinder about 8 months ago. It is the worst vehicle ever!!! There have been two recalls and more to come. The vehicle shudders (had to have a new transmission put in), abs brakes are defective, he passenger airbag is defective and the roof racks are constantly coming off... If you are looking for a reliable, long lasting safe vehicle Do not buy a Pathfinder !!!!!
I honestly didn't think they could make the pathfinder worse..... they should change the name now, it doesn't look like it could do very much "Pathfinding"

Hey Dave, Looking at getting either 2014 Toyota Highlander, or the Pathfinder. Leaning towards Nissan because of price. However I would like your opinion on which, because of your experience. Which would you favor? I currently own a 2006 Honda Pilot (great vehicle no problems). Looking elsewhere because it seems, especially Nissan you get more bang for you buck (features) on new generations. What do you drive now yourself?

My cousin drives a 2017 Pathfinder SV 2WD in the ruby flame pearl color. It's a good SUV, but I prefer the original pathfinder with real off-road capability is better.
I just wonder WTF were the Nissan designers thinking... what a shame what they did to the previously iconic, now poor Pathfinder.

I have heard problems with CVT transmission and Juddering with Pathfinder 2013 models. Have you experienced something like that during your test drive? I am planning to buy 2014 model, just want to make sure that I will not have any judder problem.
Seems like you use interlace somewhere in the production line. Would be nice if you could eliminate that as it creates articfacts. Typicaly when there is horizontal scrolling or pans.
And that bright red logo shows of the mpeg compression rather unpleasantly. Another color than one of the base colors will probably get you ridd of that.
Read Automobile Magazine review of the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid, it's pretty horrible.
The car looks nices. But the CVT had so many problem and disappoint their customer. There are so many complaints.

Этот же экземпляр, как не прискорбно это признать, вбил осиновый кол в сердце любителей и ценителей этой модели когда то известного (не побоюсь этого слова) "внедородника".

I own one I have three daughters and I think it's great!! It's much better than the quest as far as room to move around. Also better gas mileage and not too bad looking either.
Too bad it failed miserably in the IIHS crash tests.
We ordered a Forester XT instead.

personally living in the pacific northwest I would rather have cooled seats and cooled steering wheel rather than heated seats and heated steering wheel. The unpleasantness of driving a hot car here far out ways driving a cold car. Never had a steering wheel so cold I wish it as heated but cooled..ya plenty of times.
you're in luck because they do have cooled seats as an option.
