Great review Luke, absolutely loved the intro! We haven't reviewed this one yet ourselves, but it's on the radar. And like you, we've been hearing non-stop that this is a splendor killer.....glad that you brought that up!

Loved your review, especially with the details of play scenarios at the end. I do remember the names of the spices, but only because I like spices. The gems in Splendor are easier to remember, but I call onyx "chocolate". I like the colours in Splendor better, and it is supposed to be quicker, which is more appropriate for this level of game.
It's already here and I can't wait to try it. Great review!

It's not the best at two but I don't think it's bad. Splendor probably scales better by comparison.
