- Whitening strips are a great affordable (and safe) option for at home teeth whitening. Having said that using them can sometimes be tricky. Here are some tips for you to get the best results from your strips.

I'm so happy that I brushed my teeth with tooth paste that contains extra floride, and had my mouth super wet prior to putting on the strips.

I just applied mine and did everything wrong.

2. Dry your teeth
3. Strips
4. Remove the strips

As for using the strips, you would use them until they're gone unless you achieve results first.
So once your teeth are white enough, you can stop using the strips.
This video was super helpful. I just put on the strips. The box doesn’t have good instructions. I put it on right brushing my teeth and also touching my gums. Good to know for my second Aplication. Thank you

This was super helpful. First of all I didn't know I had to dry my teeth. My strips slid all over the place. Lesson learnt. Good to know why we shouldn't brush beforehand with fluoride. Thanks
Only thing I'm unsure of is how many days I do this. Like should I do it 12 days in a row and stop for a month. Or like what is the process, I'm confused.

I did this completely wrong haha. I watched this video after putting on my first strip. I brushed my teeth before putting them on, put the short one up top, and my mouth is still pretty wet with saliva. Good to know for my next attempt tho

Use either the floss holder plastic or clean fingernail to push firmly on the installed strips in to the in between of your teeth...very important.

Yes! Use multiple strips to cover your smile line. Alternatives you can think about getting whitening trays. opalescence whitening trays are great over the counter options.
They can also be stretched a bit

How do I make sure the strips work around the sides of my teeth? The strips keep coming away from the edges and I'm left with evenly colored teeth.

I give my thanks for this informative video, a lot of users on TH-cam do not mention when to brush when you are about to use your whitening strips. I heard some people had their gums burn when their strips came in contact, what can be used to protect your gums when using the strips?
My gums are burning bad as fu** right now!! It’s probably b/c I brushed my teeth before I put the strips on! My fiancé teeth are white as hell so I just asked her what she uses and how. Next use I’m definitely not brushing my teeth before my next use of the these strips. They really work though for sure!!!

I hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but what should the saliva situation within these 30 mins be? I got my first strips from target and it kinda smells like glue-ish. I have been swallowing my saliva, but I have some that I felt was in contact with the strip, so I spit it out. Should swallowing ING saliva during this time be safe? Lol it sounds like a silly question.
Not a silly question at all! It's safe to swallow your spit during that 30 minutes. However, it's also completely ok to spit it out, I know for some people can't stand the taste. Try to breath through your mouth to help dry your mouth a little when you have the strips on.

Yes you can and it helps with post whitening sensitivity 😊

The time depends on the type of the strips you have - look at the box and it'll tell you how long to keep them on. And stick to once a day (at night works)

Sounds like it's fine after an hour because mine says to remove the strips after an hour and the lady in the video said to brush your teeth after removing the strips.

I got the 40 one and it said to use one kit per year

You should be able to eat / drink after using the strips. Make sure you wait 30 minutes after you eat to brush your teeth. I'd try not to eat right before putting the strips though
(I’m not a dentist.) On the Crest FAQs page, the company advises only using these before bed so that you don’t eat after using them. Apparently, teeth may be more porous and vulnerable (more prone to staining) immediately after using the strips.

It’s normal happens to me too
I think it’s the hydrogen peroxide foaming up. It’s this bubbling up action that probably lifts stains off teeth. Pls correct me if I’m wrong bc this is a guess lol
@@allenmendel7713 for me it happens when saliva gets in the strip at the top
you didn't dry your teeth enough before putting on the strips, so the hydrogen peroxide interact with the saliva cause the foaming/bubbling effect. Can also be that you didn't put on the strips firm enough to your teeth, but that could be the result of you having excess saliva in your mouth. try to lay down after you put on the strips so your saliva flow backward instead of forward, pooling in your mouth
use a piece of tape over your mouth helps
