I love when bakers talk about the products they make and enjoy in their homes and just sound so proud and enthusiastic about them like some of these people did, it's so sweet
When Paul tastes something he loves, he has the look of the cat who drank the milk! Lovely to see.
I really enjoyed watching this! Thank you Paul for bringing a bit of home to me too. I’m half Greek Cypriot, and lived in Cyprus for 23 years. I sometimes reminisce about the old traditions held, and the amazing bakeries and food from there too, and I make a lot of Cypriot dishes and bakes at home. The hospitality and way of life there has a whole other feel to it. It is very special 🙏🏼 ♥️ 🇨🇾

As a Cypriot. Feel like the newer generation is not keeping up with the old traditional way. I’m afraid it might be lost once our generation is long gone from this planet.

The one thing that drives me mad is seeing these lil bakeries with their own spiral mixer and the amount of saving and scrapping ive had to do to buy my own commercial spiral mixer is insane!

I loved this episode. I lived in Cyprus for one year. I miss it a lot, especially the friendly people, the great food, and the relaxed life. It was great to walk into all the bakeries again through this video. I could smell everything! Thank you. Love the KEO beer!
Ok, now I'm hungry. Very interesting, not only from a foodie perspective, but also from a historical perspective. Most of my genetic ancestry is from Italy, but I was surprised to learn that I had a small percentage of Cypriot DNA as well. I have never been to Cyprus, but this definitely makes me want to go even more. Great job!

I recommend this series in Tonic YT channel, also Rick Steves (travel around Europe), and Rick Steins (for traveling and food) all can be found in YT.
Some of these bake shops bring back memories (I’m from Silikou). I’m so happy there still there and still running.

What you eat at MR. Greeks bakery is called BOUGATSA! You see this a lot in mainland Greece but the best you will ever eat in Greece is in a city called Katerini!!
