Thank you for this video! The instructions provided with my keypad don't include the step to press the learn button on your actual garage opener. I was about to return my keypad, but with your step, it worked! Woohoo!
Thank You very much for your video. You should be a instructor!! Direct & informative 😎 You ought to view some of the clowns videos - I was more confused than I was when I started!!! TY
I followed the instructions to a TEE and then viewed this video. I was doing it correctly all the time. I have a Series II Genie which is clearly stated in the manual. I decided to try the Genie Series I code of 1 rather than 6, and BINGO it started operating. So you may need to be open to the fact that there may be some errors in the manufacturers declaration of series, which may cause you to use the wrong code during programming. It may be worth the time to try all of the codes before returning your universal control.
I could was never able to get this to work . I have a legacy overhead garage door . Is there anyway you can share the id# for legacy? I had no luck finding it
Is legacy the brand? I know there are models made by Overhead Door called Legacy. Legacy 920, Legacy 850, Legacy 650. If yours is one of those, try the code for Overhead Door, which is 1. Let me know how it goes.
Hi Vivi, unfortunately, I don't have a list of key codes. Maybe unplug the power to your Overhead Door opener to let it reset and then make sure you are really close and try to program again. I'm sure you've already tried that but that's all I can think of. Perhaps, Genie customer support or Overhead customer support would have key code.
