After hearing this, I MUST beg my friend to lend me his SNES cart. This game needs to be experienced NOW. I'm Dancing madly with glee now... I never expected to like this as much as I did! Congrats on over 75 songs of pure amazingness!
This song still gives me goose bumps to this day and I'm 30 years old. The first time I got to the end of the game as a kid, and that fast keyboard bit at 1:28 kicked in I was practically breathless at the intensity of it all. The song is so much better when you hear slashing and spells going off in the background lol. This is a great cover, and the amount of work that you put into it is worthy of respect. As a guitar player myself, I've always thought about doing a rendition of this song but never got around to it. Fantastic. Of course the 1:28 transition, and the transition around 6:40 into the final movement and the battle with Kefka are my favorite parts. I get the most nostalgia from those. I am downloading an SNES emulator and am getting set to replay this game as I type this.
You should submit THIS to OCRemix. Gourmet Race was great, but this track is the best Dancing Mad remix ever made by a long shot - yes, even better than Black Mages. They'd be stupid not to accept it.
Wow... I did NOT expect this. I have to say, this was a pleasant surprise. The pitch you chose was good. Gave the theme a slightly different feeling, but still retaining that intimidating feel. The vocal part was unexpected, but it worked out very nicely. All and all, this was REALLY good. .... But I DO wonder, if this is your 75th song special... what will number 100 be? It'd be VERY hard to top this one. Still, I look forward to that....
MrLost44 That could actually be cool. Like a medley of all of Lavos' themes. The first form, second form, and final form back to back. That would probably make a decently long song.

I just came across this randomly, and I have to say I love it! Unique personal touch yet feels completely accurate to the soul of the original. I would have LOVED for this to be playing during the battle.
The Black Mages version has always been the best one around, but then this BEAST of a remix came along and used Forsaken on the Black Mages. This is amazing Jonny you outdid yourself with this one!
Is there any gaming song you cannot do!? This has to be one of the greatest, if not the best, Dancing Mad remixes out there. You, my good sir, deserve more recognition on TH-cam for your work. Subscribed.
Your music is absolutely incredible. Most remixes don't capture the original essence of the music, but yours is spot on. Despite being different, it still has the same exact feel and this song in particular gives me the same, if not stronger, sense of foreboding that I experienced when playing this game.
Haha, I'm proud of myself for guessing the game correctly when you said you had something big planned for #75! I thought we'd probably get The Decisive Battle, but I'm glad you went with this! Excellent work as always!
The 2019 remastered version is incredible, but this version will always be my favorite. It has a sort of tone that the newer version doesn't have that I love, and honestly, the singing in this one is better than the 2019. That's just my opinion. They're all great, though!
@@AStandsForFrench Agreed. The newer version uses the guitar for Kefka's laugh, which I find pretty cool, but nothing beats the guttural, 8-bit laugh Kefka has.
Best version of Dancing Mad at the 1st phase I ever heard. Excellent job guys. I'm saying a lot because i been listening to video game music since I was a kid in the 80s.

I mean just look at the guy go in his videos, he ensues a tangent of dedication in his covers. I mean he's bound to, look at plasma3 with A hat in time. I just can't wait to see the tracks he'll come up with.
Damn this is amazing. Props to the sweet kefka theme at the end as well. A perfect little cherry on top of an already stellar sundae. This brings out all of the emotions the original evoked ten fold while being blood boilingly heavy the whole way through. Great vocals as well, operatic neoclassical shred prog metal. And a boo guitar. And a shadow solo. And a super shadow solo. 15/10
This is just amazing, thanks for giving us this master peace, i play ff6 in the 90's and this its how i imagine this must be sound in my head, many thanks

it's been a long time since i've bothered to comment, but i have to say i'm very glad i discovered you, after bouncing around a few of your songs i found this and just melted
i think my heart exploded from the joyous overflow of feels seeing this video. one of my all time favorite battles and themes and you did it great justice. you made me happy as hell this night and i thank you for that.
damn I never thought this song could sound right on guitar but you did that as well as nailing the lyrics in a way that both fits the song and is easy to understand what you are singing. possibly best cover I've seen on TH-cam for any ff song
Come on man, you sing too?! WTF!? How come you never sang before!? UNFORGIVABLE. This might be the most excellent piece of greatness made by you, cheers and keep this... I don't have words for this õO you're awesome man!
All I can say is YES. This may not be as heavy or as technical as your other covers, but it does the original justice in so many ways. Great job and here's to 75 more!
Wow. Just Wow. You did ff6 justice man, when I went to check if the new video was out and saw Dancing Mad my jaw fell through my bedroom floor. Amazing piece man, can't wait for more FF!!
I've heard a lot of really good covers of Dancing Mad, but this may be by far my favorite of the bunch. Good job on this, and I'll be checking out your other work because of this one.

"Number of destroyed worlds:
Sephiroth: 0

but sehiroths goal wasn't to destroy the world which is another part of the argument
People tend to forget that if his goal was JUST to destroy the world, Sephiroth could have easily used easier methods to do so. It's always a joy whenever I see something new from you, Jonny. It being a radicool song is a bonus!
This is fantastic! I've been lsitening to it over and over, as well as the 2019 version. I still can't tell which one I like best.
it's been a long time since i've bothered to comment, but i have to say i'm very glad i discovered you, after bouncing around a few of your songs i found this and just melted
Wow! Goosebumps all the way through. Well done man!
This is, in my humble opinion, the /best/ rendition of this song I have heard in my life. Bravo to you, sir.
This song is like onions. It has layers.
I belive you said it best at the 1:56 mark: Glorious!
i think my heart exploded from the joyous overflow of feels seeing this video. one of my all time favorite battles and themes and you did it great justice. you made me happy as hell this night and i thank you for that.
damn I never thought this song could sound right on guitar but you did that as well as nailing the lyrics in a way that both fits the song and is easy to understand what you are singing. possibly best cover I've seen on TH-cam for any ff song
Man that singing is amazing
Come on man, you sing too?! WTF!? How come you never sang before!? UNFORGIVABLE.
This might be the most excellent piece of greatness made by you, cheers and keep this... I don't have words for this õO you're awesome man!
All I can say is YES. This may not be as heavy or as technical as your other covers, but it does the original justice in so many ways. Great job and here's to 75 more!
That. Was. Amazing. Also loved that you put Kefka's theme at the end.
Oh my god, that was so good it gave me chills.
Uematsu's master piece hands down and a fitting theme for Kefka no less. Of all the covers you've released on this channel, this one is the best.
Wow. Just Wow. You did ff6 justice man, when I went to check if the new video was out and saw Dancing Mad my jaw fell through my bedroom floor. Amazing piece man, can't wait for more FF!!
I didn't realize there WERE lyrics for this track...! Impressive work as always!
I've heard so many versions of this theme, love your vocals on part 1, greetings from Spain.
I've heard a lot of really good covers of Dancing Mad, but this may be by far my favorite of the bunch. Good job on this, and I'll be checking out your other work because of this one.
