Hej, great reaction, you know we call it "getting Loopified". So far you've listened to old stuff - this one is from 2014, but you've got so much more, likte their EP "Phoenix", their collab with Cory Wong on "Turbo", Jonah (singer) solo stuff and more. From a vocal point of view it's interesting how Jonah's voice just grows, and what he's capable to do. Listen to Dirty Loops "Next To You" with amazing soul and gospel choirs, and it's all Jonahs voices. Or his new solo EP "Now Or Never" and the short song Last Farewell. Full choir from very bright soprano to bass and Jonah's doing all voices.
DL are my favourite instance of "When-all-three-prodigies-in-that-music-college-class-get-together-for-a-project" LOL #CrazyTalented Natalie Weiss does a great job of breaking down the ridiculous final riff from this with the also crazy talented Clark Beckham btw (I'll post a link in a response to this comment to avoid YooToob throwing this comment in your spam) ;)
It's the way they wore you out LMAO!! You looked absolutely exhausted by the end of it, but completely satisfied. Ecstasy is what that was! The "yes sir" is so me! Over here like "you betta SANG, sir!"
@@creativecrewfam they do that to you, though! Just wait til you do "Next to You". You're gonna need a drink and a nap after that one. And I can't wait!
Omg! That was everything! The transitions and the multitude of genres that just happened was EVERYTHING. I heard a bit of Stevie here. Ah - those instrumentals. I can’t. I have to see that again! Great reaction!!
It’s insane, the way they think and play, isn’t it?! The more I listen to them, the more I get to appreciate their skill and musicality. And your reaction, Chris, was priceless 🤣, as well as super interesting and informative for me as a non-singer. Yes, “Next to You”, “Breakdown” and “Crash and Burn Delight”, just to name a few, also show off Jonah’s singing chops (as does really everything else he does ;) and I’d love to hear your reaction to those. He’s also made some solo recordings totally worth listening to…more biscuits, sugar ‘n spice in there… 😉
Hahaha, your reaction is just delightful, and I think most of us were just as slack-jawed when we first heard this one. One of the reasons I love DL, is that they manage to do that to me with every single new song they release. And yes, this is one of their originals. :D
Go check out the "Live in Montreux" clip - where they do the same darn song - LIVE. And are exactly as crazy tight and articulate ass in the studio recording. th-cam.com/video/IDHHXJIrv4c/w-d-xo.html
Great reaction, Chris! Here's an interesting clip about the riff at the end: Breaking Down The Riffs w/ Natalie Weiss - "Hit Me" with Clark Beckham: th-cam.com/video/7BpDXEX3Cx8/w-d-xo.html
That vocal run can't be described. That is legendary stuff, Jonah has an unreal skill. I always get crazy listen that run, i have to repeat it many and many times. Just. Incredible.
So nice to hear you really appreciate what you heard! Just look at the other comments for good advise checking out more of Dirty Loops. Wait, what, no recommendations from the usual suspects. OK, so some from me. At some point you just have to listen to Work shit out, but there are a bunch of other stuff you can check out before that. Anything from Turbo will be great, anything from Songs for lovers will be really enjoyable and fun. Next to you is special in its own way, as is, well, everything Dirty Loops. Enjoy!
Chris many thanks for reacting again to Dirty Loops as I am new to their music but love what I hear. As I mentioned in the chat, you should react to The Warning, a hard rock band comprised of 3 sisters from Mexico. They each began by playing piano and they all sing. They have about 40 original songs and they just keep getting better. "Evolve" or "Disciple" would be great choices for your first reaction. Also very much looking forward to your next reaction to my all time favorite musical artist, Angelina Jordan.
...thinking, who sings like this today? Love the raw energy in this early DL-song! Thanks for the reaction! 🙂Keep them coming please! So, so much more...
Do "Sayonara Love". It's a straight Dirty Loops pop banger but it has some CRAZY tasty vocals. Jonah Nihlson is one of the top singers of our time. He has a solo project as well- check out his newest single "Diamond Ring".
Ive heard Jonah do runs like the one at the end naturally, but i feel this one on the produced recording had a little note separation help by autotune at the end, not for pitch but more for definition
@@creativecrewfam Thanks for your reply, love and enjoy too much your 2 reactions to DL, hope you keep digging on this rabbit hole, DL is unique, nothing sounds like them in the music market, please keep going, for the next one I suggest the song *next to you* or Breakdown. Keep it up Bro. Greetings from Costa Rica, Central America.
Well, you will have to go through the whole Dirty Loops repertoir. Relax, don´t fight it, you can´t escape anyway, it´s gonna be fun. LOL
Dirty Loops is a musical addiction. This stuff is sooooo good.
This is such an early example of Dirty Loops. If you start the journey down the rabbit hole of Dirty Loops, you will not be disappointed.

Yup! He does that to all of us
They are the genuine article. So dang good and so underrated! Check out Next to you, Rock you, Breakdown, Sayonara love. Can’t really go wrong!
Underrated compared to whom?
@@milesdust3465 not as well known as perhaps they should be based on how good they are.
Omg hardly anyone reacts to DL let alone this song!! Yayayayay!
Yay! Keep going down the dirty loops path!
