- Follow this video at your own risk, there wasn't really any videos on TH-cam regarding replacement of the torsion bar eye-bolt bushes for the Morris Minor. So I'd figure I would make one. This is what I found worked best, please correct me on anything I should have done instead.
Very helpful indeed Rocky. Thanks a lot. Colin UK 🇬🇧
Thanks Rocky - about to do the same and found the video very useful.
Thanks Graham, best of luck to you!
Hi Rocky, thanks for taking time and trouble to make an excellent video, got to do mine as soon as it gets warmer !!
Hi Roger, glad I could be of help! Good luck with your job! I'm guessing your in the northern hemisphere? Fairly warm here right now in NZ.
Cheers :-)
Hi Rocky, yup South East England, freezing my vitals off!!!
@@rogersmith1430 ooo damn!
Very good video, thank you. However you've convinced me that this is a job I'll pay someone better than me to carry out!
Hi Philip, thanks for your feedback. Glad I was able to help out. I hope all goes well with finding someone to carry out the job. Cheers. :-)
If this works, I`ll not need to remove my exhaust etc, thanx for an interesting inspirational vid.
Thanks just followed this to replace my fulcrum pin. I used a metal mallet to knock back the arm off the splines (after marking them with a paint pen) and that made it come off pretty quickly.
Thanks for the video - a previous owner had fitted the lower eye spacers on the inside of the chassis legs so my Minor has lots of camber! I was wondering if the eye-bolt could be removed without disturbing the torsion bar and this video answers that perfectly.
Now I just need it to stop raining :¬)
Hi, glad it was helpful. Good luck with your minor project!
Personally I would have kept the poly bush's as there much better than the rubber ones
Yeah you're right, I ordered a rubber bush kit so I figure I may as well replace it anyway if I'm doing the rest. It's easy enough to replace with poly ones down the road if I need to.
Did you replace lower trunnion bushes ? Is that something that gets done or do you replace the whole trunnion?
