To get 50-60 fps constantly try my config. 1. Field of view set to 55. 2. All settings on low. 3. Render scale - quality. 4. Display Mode- bordless Windows. and remove Dx11 its necessery. On Steam deck options - tdp15w, GPU vram on bios 4gb. I could be confused for the first time - in the hub before mission start frame rate hit to 45fps, but on battlefield this increased to 50-60 stable. th-cam.com/video/2tbHgCHPQ7U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wT8BlUXCa_fZvFGE
Fun fact for everyone if you go into your steam deck bios and change the vram from 1gb to 4 gbs you will gain a lot of fps in helldivers and other games
Im in the market for a handheld for when i wanna just game in bed or the couch, or traveling. But im in canada and these things are way more expensive here. After tax the oled 512gb is $760cad. That alot to spend on somethjng that'll play a game at 30fps for a few hours then die. Idk if i wanna spend the money for that. Any suggestions.
interesting i have had very little issues with it on my OLED steam deck.. might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling and make sure your steam deck is all up to date as well.
Might wanna do some tests with other heavy games to see if your steam deck needs to be rma'd. Helldivers is one of those games that shouldn't be crashing on the deck.
More than any other game Helldivers II needs a developer tuned 60fps Steamdeck mode.
yeah that would be nice

I didn't even think of this game on Steamdeck, noice.

Would this affect the battery performance in any way?
@@itschema1probably, but to be honest for games like helldivers that would need the vram i wouldn't play it on the go anyways
Would love to see how the fps do when playing on a higher difficulty like 7 or 8
It struggles even more, unfortunately. Diff 7 - 9 at low settings stays at 30s with rather frequent dips to 15 to 20s in my use case.
dang i would just die every second if I tried that.

It crashes on me regardless of what settings I have it at

@@Nooptema Hi. Thanks for the response. What’s rma’d mean?
@jayallen9198 basically return to manufacture for repair
