I know Jeremy hasn't even looked in the direction of a comic book in his life, but how does he not know that superhero costumes tend to be treated like dress uniforms and are often worn to formal events like weddings and funerals. Especially if the people there have secret identities.
They are??
@@reptilesceptile1035
Yep.
Huh i did not know that
it just makes sense for them to do so since heroing is very much like a job, just one you typically only get paid for through smiles and thank you's
Or at least check out a Wiki to at least get some of the basic info regarding characters correct or at least have some extremely very basic understanding of them.
Oh hell, even if he doesn’t wanna do that, some things can easily be explained away with common sense and by watching the fûcking movie.
“People could have seen that”
Jeremy would be surprised at how often people don’t pay attention to shit happening around them
Clearly Jeremy has not been to New York
@@pyronuke4768 as a New Yorker, this is true. Or we do notice and just roll our eyes and keep going.
it's kinda funny how a dude who can't notice the obvious things in front of his face talks about how people could have noticed something they weren't paying attention for and have no reason to
Or the windows on the car could be tinted, thus lowering the risk of anyone seeing him changing into costume and exposing his identity.
Everyone is to busy on their phone its everywhere i call them i zombies or screen lurkers
You aren’t wrong about firearms. Even the best shooters in the world aren’t John Wick. The notion he’s suggesting is just flat out wrong
It's made even worse because I'm pretty sure Jeremy lives in Tennessee so he could relatively easily buy a gun himself. Yet people from California (namely The Birdman) know more about guns than him.
Maybe he's been playing too much GTA.
@@LuckySmurf Probably, there it's as easy as Jeremy suggests. Maybe he thinks everytime someone shoots out of a car it's a reference to GTA.

I find it funny how CinemaSins claims they do this to raise public awareness and ultimately change movies for the better; but whenever a film does something good, subverts one of their running gags, or makes their jokes for them they get salty and find some bullshit so they can sin it anyway.
Wait, did I say funny? I meant infuriating.
@@robbys5236 or equestron, I think he's better at it, too. Also he has separate counters for sins, jokes, and wins, so his jokes don't get confused as sins. I think someone like them should be the new cinemasins lol
No you didnt say funny.
I mean that definitely was their goal at first, but over time they've devolved into this rambling mess of jokes, actual criticisms, and straight up lying to their audience. Honestly, I think TH-cams emphasis on longer videos caused the shift. That's just my opinion tho
@@brocksells197 I agree with what you're saying. Pre-2015 Cinemasins was better, back when their team was smaller and they could still enjoy a movie without completely trashing it. Now they have to fill out a twenty minute video twice a week to meet their business model, they have a much larger staff to pay, and they can't afford to get attached to the film they're reviewing. After ten years of doing the same thing they're in too deep to change. (Plus the creators have a noticeable case of narcissism, so that's not helping things.) Recently they've been trying to rebrand themselves as more aloof and carefree, but most of their new stuff still has hefty undertones of cynicism.

It is really funny that Jeremy missed that Mirage was following Frozone and not Mr. Incredible. She even says that frozone is not alone, the "fat guy" (aka Bob) is still with him. It isn't until Bob busted through the wall like the Kool-aid man that she put two and two together. As for Helen, Buddy's computer states that her location was currently unknown.
Sometimes I do wonder if he is just faking being an idiot or actually is one.
Both it's both
i think its a little of both. i think hes dumb but also plays it up for the video to fit his narratives

Another thing with the "Someone could notice him changing suits in his car" sin
1) Unless they were paying very close attention before, they won't get a good look at his face (and even then, they still won't know his name unless they already knew each other
2) The license plate would definitely change
3) And it's established the government can erase memories if someone discovers a supers identity
Not to mention that most people would probably be distracted by the sounds of sirens and a criminal shooting a machine gun, seeing as they weren't that far away.
@@magnatcleo2043 Also, a person's eyes aren't like a bird's. Seeing a person's face in a speeding car isn't that easy, even WHEN the car is going by slow. So what makes him think anyone would identity his face during a car chase, involving mass gun fire and police cars?
Also, why would they be paying attention to begin with? And its pretty random to keep track of one car.
Also i think the car transformed as well i believe
hey
if they found out in secret and managed to avoid complete government eyesight then that's a real problem
I cant believe he actually asked why Syndrome didnt leave instructions for a remote he created. Like..seriously. He was puzzled by that. And if he had, wouldn't he just Sin him anyways?
I mean he never intended for anyone else to use it right? He himself already knew what each button does so why would he need a label right?
@@grizzly_manbanimation8436 Well, Having seen the ENTIRE movie. He didn't. And the remote is not that hard to figure out. It's a remote with buttons. Simply because you wouldn't figure it out, doesn't mean others won't be able to.
You don't understand, he might spend a whole week starving if he doesn't fulfill his sin quota 😂😂
7:22 I mean, Syndrome's lair is in a VOLCANO the very first thing he would think about is the melting point of the metal used to make it.
Great point.
If anything I feel like Dash has super responsive muscles ( a mutation of his dad's strength) and violet can bend light (like her mom can bend her body).
Tbh, if Dash trains, he could probably be close to his dad's strength but also super fast
Given that she can also make barriers, definitely not
Pretty much, I mean, his legs are powerful enough to propel him at incredible speeds...I'd call that a very specialized form of super strength myself, just focused on movement and applied to the muscles in a very different way. I imagine if Dash kicked someone it'd hurt like hell even without doing a flurry of blows just because of the force required to propel the leg at that speed, would it be as much force as Bob can sling...no probably not, but probably at least a bit higher than someone of similar build should be capable of. Even if Violet does go off on a tangent, Dash's power is definitely related to his dads even if you want to go as simple as "extreme physical enhancement"
Plus its pretty common in Super Hero media for kids to develop out of nowhere or unusual powers from their parents. Sure Sky High has kids who get either exactly one or the other, or combinations, but My Hero Academia shows blending quirks making new powers and combinations in addition to just straight inheriting one or the other but better, but hell just to use the obvious, Mr. Fantastic stretches, Sue is Violet after grinding to level 1 million.....and their son Franklin can literally create universes and is (well...was because drama now) effectively a god in every sense that mattered destined to be one of the most powerful beings in existence. Superhero genetics is wild and unpredictable, which is shown with the explanation about Jack-Jack in movie 2.
Ehh bending light sounds more like Dr. Light
I think it's just easier to assume the powers are randomized and the only real genetic component is whether or not you have powers at all.. I think this probably makes the best case for why Jack Jack is part of a group of special multipowered people which points to an overALL genetic component among super powered individuals..
This is also further emphasized by Helen believing initially that Jack Jack has no powers, but Bob insisiting they just haven't manifested yet..
This seems to point to the fact that powers are manifested in infants, meaning that "Dash" and "Violet" were probably named after their powers, which again points to a randomized nature to the powers.
I know his video is pretty old, but Jeremy sure had the balls to suggest that there's ANYTHING wrong with The Incredibles.
Yeah literally. Like I even saw a complaint that the baby didn't age at all despite Bob going through a weight loss and fitness montage... Who's to say that his metabolism works like normal people? The seasons didn't change, it could have been like a week or two.
Movies have flaws. Imperfect movies are made by imperfect people.

Idk if anybody caught this. The scene where Mr. Incredible is in the stasis field actually has a slight continuity error. You can see this in the video in 8:35 and a few seconds. He starts with his left arm up and in a straighter position, but ends in a more hunch position with his right arm up. Missed by the movie nitpicker by being a pedantic person.
THAT is the type of thing I would want to see in a show called Cinema Sins. Continuity errors, things from sets visible in the scene, line delivery mistakes and so on. You know, sins. Unfortunately that takes effort, and a lot of the videos wouldn't reach ten minutes (which could be easily fixed by sinning multiple movies per video). That would also make it much easier to make jokes, if you have a half decent sense of humour.
@@KingHoborg yeah when I first watched cinema sins I expected that "oh hey there's a camera on screen" *ding* " not "haha pop culture reference me point things on screen *ding* "

7:08 also this version is post-gazerbeam, a guy with melting powers.
You know, despite how many times I've seen this movie, I would never have thought of that
"Why are there no labels on the remote?"
Because Syndrome doesn't want anyone to know he has a remote, it's supposed to just look like a glove/armband so he can pretend to beat the robot
9:56 are we just gonna ignore that Jeremy implied he'd pull his dinner out of the trash and eat it if it wasn't immediately incinerated?
"Why does he train assuming he'll get another job." Ignores scene where she says she'll give him a call and one of said calls where she states "another" job. It was supposed to be implied he gets paid often and well. Probably to face different "enemies" to get more data. He can't repeatedly face the Omni-droid. It'd raise too many questions.
Also, fun fact. This movie came out shortly before the first Fantastic Four movie. They had to do some reshoots and CGI work because The Incredibles used their powers better.
"Success is where preparation meets opportunity"
I am going to remember this one
It doesn’t matter how strong the suits are, their heads are what they should worry about. I doubt a small mask is going to protect their faces from the blasts.
You mean exactly how Jeremy already sinned the film ('but can the baby's face'). Imagine CinemaSins contradicting themselves for the sake of a sin. I'm sure they would never do that...
@@ellysemilton1309 yea, it would suck if that happened
@@ellysemilton1309
Except Jeremy missed the point. Making the suit fireproof wasn’t to protect Jack-Jack from fire, it’s to keep the suit from burning off should Jack-Jack turn out to have a combustion-based power.
I'm not saying this to diss it, but I roll my eyes in the joke when no one recognizes someone they know when all they have to cover is a piece of fabric over their eyes.
Saying "obvious moron" while the subtitles said "CinemaSins" had me rolling.
5:00, it’s also implied that their personalities are what gives them their powers, for example Violet is an introvert which is why she has invisibility and force fields, or Bob being stubborn and arrogant is what made him have super strength. This also explains why Jack Jack has so many powers, since he doesn’t have a personality yet
Yeah exactly. The superhero gene in this universe is random in the infant stage but as soon as it gets older one power manifests. At least that’s my understanding
And how is bob selfish?
so every baby had every power? or almost every teenager had Violet's power? and same for every other family members

The whole "why isn't the remote labeled" nonsense is stupid even by cinema sins levels.
Does one label every button on your game controller whenever you load up a game? No. Everyone with a game console probably has a dozen or more control schemes memorized to the point that they don't even think about them anymore, and will memorize a new one everytime a new game comes out, yet the labels on the buttons never change from ABXY (or whatever your preferred console has)
I don't think Jeremy has ever played a video game in his life
The fact that Jeremy feels the need to question how two characters stowed away on a plane when one of them has super speed and the other can turn invisible really says more about CinemaSins than I ever could.
7:10 I love how "Yeah, and?" can be used as a rebuttal to so many of Cinemasins' complaints.
Sins like the one at 6:19 are why I rage quit CinemaSins. It was clear they didn't watch the damn movies they were sinning, nor did they go back and delete sins for things the movie clearly explains.
One does not simply sin The Incredibles and live
The tearjerker in this movie for me... as a mom... was Helen calling mayday there are children on board over and over again until she realized it was in vain. Then she whooshed to the back and enveloped her babies. Awwww...I well up every time. The writers, producers and directors did an awesome job there. The fear in her voice and actions, the urgency. It shows that even in this fictitious world that mom power is the same. And that without or with powers mother's fear for and will always protect their babies
I so was not expecting that nostalgia trip from the Sonic X intro.

4:27 The real sin here is that at that boy's height he should absolutely be able to see her body. that wall isn't tall enough to fully obscure her from that specific angle.
My response to the "waterfall of lava" sin would've been that flowing lava would not be particularly loud because it flows much more slowly than water, but yours is much more elegant.
Along with the editing error with the Jack-Jack suit sin, I'd point out that it doesn't matter if the baby's face can withstand temperatures of over 1000 degrees; Edna doesn't actually anticipate Jack-Jack being in any such situation. She made it able to resist such temperatures because _she doesn't know what Jack-Jack's powers are/will be,_ and wants to make sure that the suit can withstand anything that its wearer ends up able to do.
Yeah and she literally stated that after presenting the suit. “I didn’t know the baby’s powers so I covered the basics” proof Jeremy doesn’t watch the movie he just looks for problems.

I'm surprised CinemaSins didn't have a sin for when Mr. Incredible stopped the train. That's a perfect opportunity for:
"That is one great shot of paper football."
8:09 The first time Mirage contacted Mr. Incredible was under the guise that she worked for a secret government organisation and were offering him a job. Not only does it look more legit to have a self-destructing message, but if he says no, then there's no evidence he was contacted, which would be necessary if he wasn't going to be associated with them. But after he's officially working for them, he's tied to them, so they just call his house. And, finally, they don't even know Mr. Incredible has a family until Syndrome sees them. He's surprised to see Mr. Incredible married Elastigirl and his computer showed Elastigirl's location as unknown, despite her being married to the man who was working for Syndrome. So as far as they knew, there was nobody else who could've heard the phone call since they didn't know Mr. Incredible had a family and he had no reason to tell them.

I've watched The Incredibles over 5 times and I only just now noticed in the computer scene where Bob finds all the super heroes dead, that there is a threat rating for each super hero. I thought I knew everything about that movie, damn.
Ok, ok, it was funny that you were focused on him saying a waterfall of lava...but that's technically right. Sure, a waterfall is usually depicted as being water, but it could also count as any kind of liquid like lava. Otherwise? Great video! :)
There should be no doubt about this film being the best from Pixar.
The plane verses Sidewinder missiles is one of the most dramatic scenes in film that I had every seen, Holly Hunter's voice work was excellent.
My dad taught me that the key to making a good movie is to have people who are passionate about the content. The problem with the Fantastic 4 films is that the producers hire big names who don't care about the content. Therefore, they butcher the characters and/or the movie. Marvel learned this mistake and in later MCU films, they started hiring people who actually care about the content.

Although not demonstrated, it was shown in the sequel that the kids’ suits are invincible (Although it was only Violet’s shown, it’s kinda obvious that Dash’s is also). On top of that, sure, their suits are indestructible, but think about it; is there a problem with a plane blowing up right above the ocean?
Even in just the first film, Mode explains that she designed his suit to be able to withstand the insane friction and stress from a kid who can run a hundred miles an hour. Obviously, in order to be able to deal with that, the suit would have to be _pretty damn durable,_ so of course Dash's suit is nigh-indestructible as well

The choice of song at the beginning brought me back to watching Sonic X back in Brooks, AB... also, the video is really good. Easily pokes the right holes in the comedic CinemaSins logic.
Thank Th3bird man you've done it again
Idk why but birdman sounds more mad at alot of these sins
I always look forward to these: Knocking down Cinemasins
Another key thing that I always like to point out is the fact that the family’s powers are all based off of the American nuclear family tropes Bob has super strength because dad‘s are strong. Helen has elasticity powers because mom‘s bend over backwards for the family. Violet has invisibility and force field powers because like most teenage girls she likes to isolate herself from others, Dash has superspeed powers because all Young boys have lots of energy and finally, the baby(Jack-Jack) has random powers that can change without warning because all babies are unpredictable. No one knows what the baby is gonna grow up to be.
The biggest sin of the movie is probably how at 9:30, Universal Man was statistically the absolute stronger super the government had any information on. On the DVD, there’s a special feature that lets you look at classified files of a bunch of supers. All of his stats were maxed out, and no one else was close to him, not even Robert. How was his threat level only 2.9 when other supers were almost twice as high just as shown in this video? SIN!
