  • First some of the build up to the final landing of the last Concorde in Filton, Bristol in 2003. Watch the fly past of the wonderful Spitfire. The rain stopped for the landing, and it was very, very emotional for everyone. Hear the engines switched off for the very last time. I don't apologise for 4 by 3, or the fuzzy images, it was a different time, before 4k! What a special day.

Concorde, there will never be another plane that people followed with such great affection. What a masterpiece she really was. Queen of the skies.

There were a lot of people in tears on the day! Including myself. I tried to make a fitting tribute to the engineering and pioneering spirit that was embodied within Concorde

It’s very emotional watching the end of something so technologically and aesthetically brilliant. Ok the economics were wrong but how did anyone stop this thing flying.....Just the sight of watching it fly is worth every penny in kindling national pride and making you feel good.

Yes, so much pride, I was proud and sad to be there all at the same time. So much expertise lost. It was relatively 'young', since it only took a few hours to cross the Atlantic, the skin heated up at speed and drove the moisture away. Speedbird, we loved it!

26th Nov 2003 No.216 G-BOAF flew from LHR to Filton via The Bay of Biscay for one final supersonic M2 dash. A sad day indeed.

Seeing this now and whilst not British made makes me feel so sad that none of the BA 747's are getting this same treatment due to covid. :( I guess all good things must come to an end eventually.
    great video btw thank you

    Thanks for uploading
She is a beautiful bird, in my home town, I was there also that day, and also when she flew over the city centre.
I now own one in my AM4 game, she;s unfortunately not profitable, but I am passionate about keeping her right at the top of my fleet.
What an amazing, totally awesome day ! And even bigger technological achievement.
