This is a refreshing review from a Canadian perspective. You gave some honest views on the truck unlike a lot of the American reviews that don't seem to care about poor gas mileage and exorbitant prices. Keep being critical. That's how old magazines like Car and Driver and Road and Track became famous, by not kissing the manufacturers ads. Gas mileage on new trucks absolutely suck. I got better gas mileage 30 years and still could do the same thing with my truck back then.
TRD Pro is for overlanding and off-roading. If you are not doing this, then buy the prettier Platinum with the extra features. If you are driving this PRO on main roads only, to work and back in the city...what a waste. Seems you are comparing a purely off-road work truck with on-road trucks. Good work on the video! Exactly. That's why those of who us bought this truck got it for. I love the exhaust, suspension, and all the skid plates. It is meant to be driven off road. It's a purpose built truck.
I actually own a Limited Crewmax with the TRD Pro Exhaust. I love that sound and while on the highway if you're not constantly hitting the gas the sound isn't to loud. Great truck. You should do a review of the Ram Rebel.
No. not the most expensive. Not even close. I have the exact truck. $47,000 US. Platinum is way more expensive as is the 1794 Or 1794. Map pocket is on the passenger side so the driver can actually reach back and get it. I AM annoyed by no grab handle. You DO have keyless entry. Heated seats? Not that I'm aware of. Drove 4400 from Nashville to Anchorage. I didn't have any droning experience myself. The truck is super nice. Really don't know what your talking about with the exhaust note. It's a truck dude. Raptor is 70k (+) US and I've seen plenty of people taking that off road so I don't know who ur friends are, but anyway.
In Canada the TRD Pro is the most expensive model. The TRD Pro is $60,275 the Platinum is $58,580 and the 1794 is $58,790. Interesting that in the US the pricing is totally different. You are correct, in the US the Platinum is almost $7USD more expensive than the TRD Pro. And the truck 100% had heated seats. In Canada that is pretty much standard on everything now except the most basic of vehicles. In the US it is not considered a requirement due to the amount of the country in warm climates.
The luxury features you're wanting to be in this truck are in the Platinum trim of the Tundra. TRD Pro is not the highest grade, and not meant for luxury. The TRD Pro is meant to be a rugged off road vehicle with the top of the line accesories to get you around the offroad trails.

Where I live the 1794 is the most expensive, it is the highest grade.

I think you're talking about the 2016 colors. 2017 colors are Cement, Barcelona Red, and White
