But as far as confidence in my vehicle....I don't think I could have done any better.

    2:45. 100% true. I have this exact army green 2020 tundra and I get compliments on it almost daily from strangers at red lights, parking lots, gas stations, friends and families houses, work situations. You will even catch people staring at your truck while driving. The day I bought mine I owned it fir like 2 hours and went to grab some food. When I got back to the truck, this nice couple came up to me saying how “beautiful” my truck was. That’s when I knew I made the fight choice lol

    You buy a Tundra for the reliability and definitely the best resale value of any of truck. Toyota in general have such great reliability. The 4 wheel drive and traction control system works very well, especially in the snow on the Tundra.

    Every where I go people compliment my 2019 TRD PRO. I personally think it rides pretty good. The best looking truck on the road in my opinion. And it's definitely the most reliable. So go buy yourself a car if you want a car. I'll keep my Tundra, thank you for that bias review.

    Have had a 2021 TRD Pro for 3 months now. Other than two awesome off road ventures, mostly suburbs/city driving. The ride on streets, for a truck is good. Not great. But it's not a car. I say it drives like an SUV. Get it off road (we do alot of get away from as many humans as possible camping) and that is really where this truck shines. I have the stock tires and they will be great until they are dunzo and I upgrade to something else. Love my Pro so far. Let's put it this way: if I am 3+ hours from any other human and or services, I can't think of any other truck I would rely on more than the TRD Pro.

    I like the styling of this truck. Driving it in the snow looks very fun!
    My first car was a 77 Toyota pickup, I've owned an 87 4runner and my son now owns a 2016 4runner.
    Toyota trucks have come a very long way in design and comfort. They aren't going to ride like luxury sedans but IMO for people that want a truck with high reliability that performs well off road and looks good the ride on road is fine for them even on long road trips. #keepontruckin :) cheers!

    Marketing the Tundra as a luxurious ride and comparing it to a car was a wrong move by Toyota. While the American manufacturers are shifting to making trucks that drive like cars, the Tundra is great because it's not trying to. Sure the steering is super light and the body roll is terrible but it's a durable, rugged, big truck that is extremely comfortable on the well maintained US highways. I imagine the new Tundra will try to drive like a car to be competitive with the American trucks which is a real travesty. I will cry if the day comes when every truck is a essentially a Honda Ridgeline :(

    I have the Limited Off-Road and it rides better than Ram 1500. I think you guys are out of touch saying that Tundra rides horrible. I have not ridden in the TRD Pro, but you are wrong. Tundra rides better than the others, at least with the regular Bilstein suspension.

    • @TestDriveVideos
      @TestDriveVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You admit to having not been in the TRD Pro (this model, and the one we're discussing as having a poor ride compared to others) and we've driven every competitor. How are you able to know we're wrong?

    • @bryanangelov
      @bryanangelov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TestDriveVideos You said that you did not agree with others that thought the Tundra had a very comfortable ride. I am one of those that believe that it rides really good for a truck. As you can see this matter is very subjective. Yes, the Tundra has a crappy ride if it has the 20" wheels with the stock suspension. Yes, the Tundra rides bad if you treat it like you are spending the night with somebody else's b***h. You need to drive a truck like you drive a truck. Otherwise, you guys will stay out of touch. Ask yourself why car journalists like cars that nobody buys. Make a list of your favorite cars for the last 10 years and look their sales numbers. If your favorite cars are even close to the top sellers, then I am wrong - you are not out of touch. I am a car enthusiast, but I also have a family. So, my family needs are first and owning one of my favorite car is just a dream. I hope you get what I am saying. I am trying to give you a constructive feedback for otherwise being really entertaining. I really enjoy watching your videos. You guys are good, but there is a room for improvement.

    Does anyone know which year they stuffed all the nanny devices in these trucks?
    I would really hate to have it decide that it needs to slam the brakes in a situation, where it determines that this is the "proper" course of action and get me killed because of it...
    One situation I can think off would be passing a behicle on a 2 lane road, where one is forced to temporarily enter the oncoming lane....
    If the nanny decides that the vehicle I'm trying to pass is in my way and slams the brakes, that would be bad...especially if there is traffic behind me.
    Even worse, let's say I'm cutting it close and there is oncoming traffic in the distance and I need to finish the passing maneuver, before getting back to my lane....if the nanny determines that it needs to slow me down, I'm as good as dead.
    I won't even talk about the violent riot situation, where the only way to save my life would be to accelerate through the mob that is trying to kill me....but if the nanny decides that it needs to apply brakes in order to avoid a collision, I'm once again as good as dead.
    I don't mind the passive nannies, that fpash a light or make a sound to alert me of a situation....but I draw the line when it actually takes over and starts interfering with my driving...

      @@TestDriveVideos Thank you for your reply. I did test drive the '21Trail Boss and found it to be a harsher ride quality overall and the recurring engine issues (5.3/ 6.2) with the lifters failing from the fuel management system and have been in a friends '20 Ford F150 that rode close to what I'm having with my Tundra. It just seemed that they had a pre-determined idea of what a truck "should" ride like ( comfortable usable ride or a cart with wooden wheels ) and that was all they seemed to focus on. Reliability and quality seemed the highest on the Tundras. I like to review all the videos of '21Tundra TRD PROs to get a consensus of opinions and overall quality from the many reviewers like yourself to get an idea of any problems arising or occurring now or down the road. Thanks again
